Help me decide [quick]... tour or brunch?
I would like to do one special thing during our October trip. These are our two options. It will just be Daniel and I. I called the tour office & they actually have space for two adults on several days if we decide to do it, which surprised me b/c we've tried to get on this tour several times and it's been booked solid. The Food & Wine Festival dessert/brunch event is only going on one day during our trip so I have to call and see if it's even available for that day.
I called Daniel at work and he said, "they both sound great Jess, whatever you want." Ugh, I can't choose, they both sound awesome. These are the choices: 1) Backstage Magic Tour this amazing seven-hour adventure that takes you behind-the-scenes at the Walt Disney World Resort to discover what it takes to create and maintain the magic every day. See how the attractions operate at The American Adventure, part of the World Showcase at Epcot. Enjoy lunch at Mama Melrose's Ristorante Italiano and visit the cosmetology and costuming buildings at the Disney-MGM Studios. Tour the "Utilidor" — the tunnel that runs underneath the Magic Kingdom Park — and visit the central shops where repair work is done, and the Holiday Center, where holiday props and scenery are stored. 2) SWEET SUNDAYS Demonstration with a Celebrity Pastry Chef creating three desserts. Guests sample each demonstrated dessert. Includes breakfast buffet and sparkling wine. -- WHERE: Festival Center (Wonders of Life) -- WHEN; Date/Time: Sundays from 10:30 am - 12:30 pm Oct. 12 -- Alice Medrich, Author of Pure Dessert from Berkeley, CA

They both sound great! IF I had to choose- I would go with the Backstage Magic Tour. It sounds so interesting and I wouldn't mind spending the hours on that! Do you mind giving up pretty much a whole day doing this?

Re: Help me decide [quick]... tour or brunch?
I am starting to think, hmm, the Sweet Sunday event is exclusive to the Food & Wine Festival. We don't get to do the F&W fest a lot anymore since we moved to NJ. Maybe we should go for that and try to do the 7-hour tour on a different trip, since it's offered anytime of the year?
OoooO, but that tour is so awesome going into the costuming department, etc. and I would love to see the holiday props & scenery storage too.

Re: Help me decide [quick]... tour or brunch?
I think I would do the tour. Have you called about the sweet sundays availability yet? If it isn't available, your decision is made for you.
It is a tough decision- the tour sounds very interesting, but I would also love to see and taste some yummy deserts made by professionals. (I am sure it would be much better than the chocolate pudding that is my specialty.)

Re: Help me decide [quick]... tour or brunch?
I just called, they have availability for the "Sweet Sundays," yikes, this is hard. I think Daniel would appreciate the food more but he also LOVED being able to feel 'VIP' and getting into secret Disney areas.
![]() I want to do both. But I can only choose one. The "Sweet Sunday" event is about 1/2 the total price that the tour would be. But then again the tour includes 7 hours of info & lunch and we get a DVC discount on it too. No Sweet Sunday discount.I googled info on that pastry chef and she sounds really cool & interesting. She's baked with Julia Childs, and has several books out, etc.

Go for Sweet Sundays! The tour sounds great, but it also sounds like that one's not going anywhere. You can do it any time.
Sweet Sundays, Sweet Sundays, Sweet Sundays, Sweet Sundays...

I would go for Sweet Sundays since it's not offered all the time. BUT you seem really excited for the Backlot Tour, so maybe you should do that!

Re: Help me decide [quick]... tour or brunch?
Sweet Sundays. That chef is not going to have the potential availability as the other tour...
Plus... Even though ou may be seeing the utilidors, etc- you may know more than the tour guide. At least with food... it would be a uniques experience that you can't get (like when you go next summer). That is awesome that your husband is so laid back with the whole thing...

I majored in Costume Design so I would pick the Tour in a heartbeat. It sounds awesome.
