I got an e-mail alert today that Continental changed my flights for October. I am annoyed, they SHORTED me on time in both directions and even changed the flight numbers. We were SUPPOSED to be arriving at 9:29 am on Oct. 8th and now we're not arriving until 10:05 am.
On Oct. 15th we were supposed to be departing MCO at 12:30 pm and now we're departing at 12:05 pm.

I know it's obviously not a lot of time they are taking away from my vacation but since the flight numbers change do I have to call and tell Magical Express? We already got our paperwork, etc. but I wasn't sure if I should inform them or not.

Also, I have 4 resorts waitlisted for DVC. Right now we are booked at Old Key West but I have AKV, WLV, BCV, and BWVs waitlisted. What happens if the waitlist comes through like a week before our trip and our ME luggage tags still have the OKW symbol on them? It would probably be too late for them to send me new ones & don't they have a scanner bar on the tags indicating which resorts they get sent to?

OK - that really stinks that CO did that to you.
I remember a few years ago CO did this to me. I called them, and they let me change my flights without a change fee. If there are earlier/later flights on each day, you may be able to change to them without the terrible change fees. This was about 5 years ago...when the change fee was only $35, so who knows if they will stick to that. But they told me, since they changed the flights, they will let me make any changes for free....it's worth a call if there are earlier/later flights that you can take....I always squeeze as much time out of the trip as I can.

As far as the ME...I would call them to give them the new flight numbers. As far as the waitlist....we ran into a similar issue for our next trip. We switched from GF to Poly, they told me if my NEW ME tags didn't come in time, to just cross of GF, and put Poly on them. They said I would be fine with that - still, I would make the call and make sure.

Good luck getting your waitlist....we've had very good luck with getting our waitlist in the past. I've got my fingers crossed for you!! OKW is pretty awesome too though!!!!

Thanks! Oh my gosh, if I had to change my ME tags with a marker I would be so nervous I'd never see it again! haha.

We've had pretty good luck with waitlist too. We gotta into Boardwalk Villas on a waitlist last minute a couple years ago and also WLV. It always seems to happen pretty last minute so I am keeping my fingers crossed for either Beach Club or Animal Kingdom Villas, those are the two I REALLY want to stay at!

You don't need to call. The same thing happened to me going down to WDW, only with Airtran. I called Magical Express and they said they go by your flight numbers....so long as that doesn't change, they'll adjust the time automatically. In fact our returned flight got changed while we were at Disney...ME knew about it before we did....actually ME is the one who told us it changed.

I think they changed her flight numbers also...so I think a call is in order...just to be safe...

CO did that to me too, and I complained about the time and they put me on an early flight N/C since they made the change!

I've never used ME, but couldn't they just switch the tag at the counter when you check in?
