I love celebrating my birthday and I know just being there will be a wonderful gift to myself but I'd like to know your suggestions please. :D

Also should I say it's my birthday upon checking in or let dh tell cm:hmmm

Isn't there some place in the parks where I can get a happy birthday button? :p Ohhh I can't wait..I'm going to Disney for my birthday!!!!!

DGD celebrated her 6 birthday at DW last Aug. We got her button at Town Hall in MK. They had Mickey call her on the phone. All the CM were great to her that day when they saw the buttom. At BLY we even got to go on the ride twice without having to get out and go back in line. She got where if a CM didn't say something to her about her birthday she would say, "Didn't you see my button? It's my birthday!"

If you go to a sit-down restaurant on your birthday, tell whoever checks in to tell the CM who checks you in that it is your birthday. More than likely, all the cm's will sing Happy birthday to you as well as giving you a cake.

I would start the day with a character breakfast then you can book a birthday cruise and the pontoon boat will be decorated and there will be a birthday cake waiting for you. You can do this any time of day, I would try to do it as an IllumiNations cruise and enjoy the evening that way. You can book cruises 90 days out.

Have your hubby call the front desk after check in to tell them.

My brother in law just celebrated his 36th birthday there on May 26th. He got a birthday button each day from the different parks (they are all different). He was sung Happy Birthday at nearly all the restaurants, by a group of guests in the middle of Pangini Exploration Trail, from a CM at Pirates of the Carribean. His best surprise was a special invitation he received to meet Mickey Mouse in Toontown one afternoon for a special birthday celebration and a great photo opp. (CM's took professional pictures) He also got two cards delievered to their room at All Stars Sports personalized from Goofy and Mickey.

On another note, my parents were celebrating their 41st anniversary while we were there, and I called down to the front desk at the Wilderness Lodge and they got a great card with photographs of Mickey and Minnie inside (autographed and personalized!) With a big group of balloons. They were thrilled.

Last fall my husband and I took our grandkids and daughter and son-in-law to WDW. We stayed at AKL who did nothing for the birthdays but it was so special we didn't care. EVERYONE else in the parks helped us celebrate. When I was calling to make a dinner PS at Chef Mickey's for my birthday -- which by the way is Oct 14! -- there already fully booked. I casually mentioned that I was disappointed because it was my birthday and that's where we wanted to eat for our birthdays. She asked, "Birthday's?" I replied, "Yes, it's also my daughter's birthday." She said, "How old is your little girl?" I laughed and said that she would be 31! The woman on the phone helped me fill-up all my trip with PS's and asked me to call back to try again to get into Chef Mickey's. On the second call I made it! Guess they had a cancellation! :) :bandit :)

Then every restaurant we went to made a big deal out of our birthdays -- for the entire week! We never told anyone else. It was all because of the woman who helped me make the PS's. We always got cupcakes with sparkler candles, confetti, cards, singing, special attention -- which was great for our kids!:) :heart :)

There were lots of parents and grandparents -- and just plain old unescorted by children adults -- who were celebrating birthdays, anniversarys, Columbus Day, whatever!!!:)

ENJOY!!!!!!!:) :) :heart :) :)
