Since joining MB both frequency and quality have changed for us. When I go back and read my first TR I posted on here I see how much I've grown in WDW knowledge.

Our trips have definately increased. Not sure if it's b/c of MB or because we now have a DD who is equally as Disney obsessed. I do think my actual trips have changed dramatically since being on MB. I am able to plan ahead more and I love reading about other peoples experiences and recommendations. I love knowing of new rides, shows, etc. Things like the Me and my girl tea party, MVMCP, MNSSHP, Candlelite Processional just to name a few are all things I learned of on MB.

As far as my expectations - I think when I first started going to WDW as an adult I expected everything to be perfect - that a CM can fix just about anything. As the years passed (and I grew up) and read TRs and comments here I came to realize that WDW has it's good and its bad like every other place.

I also love coming here b/c there are few people in my life (other than DD and DH) where I can talk about Disney to all the time!

I also stay here because there is a love of disney that is shared here and its a pure kind of magic that makes for the best support and the best kind of friendship...its worth a few sad feelings for sure!!!

I enjoy MB for the mear fact that there are some smart people out there who get it. In my real world, all I get is eye's rolled, and comments such as what I got last week "You already went there last year, why do you want to go again?"

I agree!! I get that alot too. I agree too that our number of visits and the quality of our visits have increased from joining MB. Plus it helps that DD loves it just as much as me and DH has grown to love it that much!! (otherwise we wouldn't have bought into dvc!)

You KNOW that you're not alone in this. I have had my sanity questioned when alluding to the fact that we are going to Disney "yet again".

I was going every other year when I first joined MB, then Disney Central. I started going every year because I starting making more money per year...that's the only reason. Like said above, I get more "substance" from my trip due to being on here. I don't expect more than what I pay for however. Nice little touches of magic here and there are suppose to be surprises...no expected in my opinion. I won a dream last trip and two the trip before. I never expected to win any of the above and my trip would have been cool if I didn't. To tell you all the truth, this last trip I took was the best one I ever went on. It was relaxed and I through most of my plans out the window. I think after all these trips, it's not necessary to plan the heck out of it anymore. It sets expectations that cannot be reached and causes me to much stress when things don't go as planned. I will still plan my park days because I think it's smart to have a plan and go with or against EMH, but I'm done with the sit-down meals and all the other crap that makes me race from one place to the next when all I want to do is stop and look at the animals for a few hours at AK if I feel like it....

This board made me plan a little to much..well, didn't make me, encouraged me. Like everything else I do, it's 150% or not at all and this site only fed into that need to over-do everything..lol I am just going to pick a park and do whatever I want from there on out.

This site didn't make me go more or less often...just made me insane with plans that didn't need to be made.

I agree. I've seen a lot of people on other boards upset about not getting a free upgrade at their resort or a dream during their trip. It makes me sad that a trip is ruined because they didn't get something extra. I try very hard not to expect anything more than we paid for so I don't get upset when it doesn't happen. If it happened to everyone every time it wouldn't be magical when it happens.

My thoughts exactly. How special would these little things be if they happened every trip? They would be part of the package if they were suppose to always happen. I want exactly what I pay for. A clean room, park passes and whatever DDP I am on. I want everything to work in the room and I want the cast members to have customer service skills....that's it. It would be cool if all the rude people could stay home and they would open the parks only to me and my DD, but I don't want to push my luck

My expectations haven't changed. Now I feel I am much better at planning. It also seems I take a lot more time just to smell the roses. Our frequency has definitely changed since we moved to Florida. Since being on MB it does feed my need a little bit to much. But luckily DH loves it as much as DS and I do. We're very lucky. Every time I walk in the Parks I still get the same feeling pure happiness.

That's the best attitude. I do, however, expect great service. And I expect it everywhere at Disney!

I agree with you 100%! Friends say to me, "how do you keep going back, doing the same thing over and over?" For us, each trip is different . . . Yes some of the rides and dining is the same . . . but our overall experience each time varies.

Whenever a newbie is going, I tell them two things: 1. Have a plan, even if you don't stick to it, go in with one! 2. Don't expect to see it all in one trip, instead ENJOY (smell the roses) of what you do see.

I hate when people return from WDW and say the "Hate it" and will "never go again!" It was hot, crowded we went on two rides. Blah, blah, blah . . .

I've been MANY times, and never had such an experience. (we always have a plan and a must do list!) It's such a magical place, but it has to be seen at a slower pace and enjoyed. So much goes into the tiniest detail . . . it's a shame a lot of people miss out on that and don't take in the magic!

I think the fact that when you are one of the people who "get it", Disney takes on a whole new meaning. I do not bother trying to convince people who say "You are going again"? It is our happy place and I feel sorry for the people who don't have that, be it Disney or anything else. Everyone should have a passion in life! I think having any other expecations besides clean rooms and courteous service only leads to a little disapointment. Be in the moment and enjoy what you have and you will always have a great trip! Having others who understand on MB does make you feel a little less crazy though

I also expect excellent service while at WDW...I expect excellent service every where I go because I go out of my way to provide excellent service to my customers. Excellent service is a thank you for choosing to spend your hard earned dollars here in my world.
