Kate ... not to worry!!! It was not a usual rain ,and it only lasted minutes. It won't even be noticed I bet. It might even be a pleasant relief for a few seconds.

We were there last September...I already live in FL so it was about what I expected, but it did rain quite a bit. This is hit or miss, but I'd definitely be prepared for afternoon T-storms because they're pretty likely. It was also hot & humid, as others have said...the good news is, in September school has started back and peak vacation season has ended....which means lighter crowds. We were able to get on everything with little or no wait last Sept, which makes the heat & humidity that much more tolerable. The other good thing is that the thunderstorms usually only last an hour or two, and actually help to cool things down a little, so for us (we have a preschooler) it was a great time to go take a nap and get refreshed before heading back into the parks. Repeating but reemphasizing, I guess. We've been three Septembers and live in South Louisiana, which has basically an identical climate. Early to mid-Sept. is not much cooler than August. Dress for warm weather.
