Okay here is the trip report by my girlfriend (Christine)
Cast: Antnee, my mom and dad, myself, and my two kids, ages 5 and 21 months. Monday: Arrived around 11:30 at MCO. While walking through the airport, a wheel on the stroller fell off. Anthony proceeded to pick up the wheel and just push the three-wheeled stroller through the airport. Picked up by Florida Tours, who were very prompt. We made a stop at a supermarket called Cash and Carry. Our driver, who had a discount card for us to use, recommended it. We arrived at Old Key West and stored our luggage and groceries. Our room would not be ready until 4:00, and while our plan was to go to the Magic Kingdom, due to the stroller problem, we decided to hang around Old Key West until it could be remedied. Luckily, my dad, aka McGyver was able to fix it. We checked into our room, a 2 bedroom dedicated, and unpacked. The room was immaculate, the carpets and upholstery had even been shampooed. We had a priority seating for Ohanas at the Polynesian, but changed them till 7:30. We went over to the Magic Kingdom for a bit, and then took the Monorail to the Poly. The dinner was great, family style, and meat on skewers. Everyone enjoyed it. Or so we thought, by the end of the meal the baby was projectile vomiting all over the place. Could’ve been something he ate, could’ve been the traveling, could’ve been the heat. However, we decided not to go back to the Magic Kingdom that night and just went back to OKW. I was upset cause we lost a day on the passes, but what can you do? I did get to see the Electrical Water Pageant, though, which was something I’ve always wanted to see. Tuesday: Did MGM. We did Playhouse Disney live first, which was good with the little ones to break them in. We had lunch ressies at the Sci-Fi, which was ok. You don’t really go there for the food; it’s the presentation that is the fun part. My daughter didn’t really enjoy the old films they were showing, which I can understand; they are a bit freaky. After lunch we did the “Honey I Shrunk the Kids” playground which was fun. We saw the toy soldiers perform. Those guys must roast in those get ups. We went back to the room for a rest, and then headed out to Epcot. We had dinner at “Coral Reef” which was very nice. The kids had peanut butter play dough for dessert. We watched Illuminations and then headed back. Wednesday: I had a ps for my daughter and I to have breakfast at Cinderella’s castle. It was great. I think I enjoyed it more than she did. We saw Cinderella, Snow White, Aurora, Belle, and Mary Poppins. We had a great table next to the window, and while we were sitting there, Peter Pan ran past the window outside the castle. Two minutes later Captain Hook ran by. What a blast. I could see Anthony at the carousel putting the little guy on. He loved it; the baby loved it too. After breakfast we were able to do all of Fantasyland with little or no lines. It was so hot out, so we went to lunch at the Crystal Palace with the Pooh characters. It was great; they had the kids parade around with them. However we had an incident here that was a little upsetting. There was an older man in an ECV who was going back and forth to the buffet. He was dining alone. On one of his trips up, he rammed his wheelchair into my son’s high chair, and instead of stopping, he just kept going, didn’t even acknowledge what he had done. My son’s arm was pinned up against the table, I thought quickly and pulled the table towards me, to give him room to move. The man at the table next to us ran over and helped out. The man in the ECV just kept going. He had to know what he did. Our waitress witnessed the whole thing. I was so upset, I talked to the manager who moved Joey’s seat out of the path. On his way out, the man pushed our waitress out of his way. She comped my lunch, because I was so upset I hardly ate. Luckily though the baby was fine. We went back to the hotel after lunch for a rest. My mom and dad watched the kids for us and Anthony and I went to the California Grille for dinner. It was excellent. I had never been there before and I really enjoyed it. After dinner we went over to the Poly, found ourselves a secluded hammock and just relaxed. Then we went into Ohanas, had a Pina Colada, and watched the fireworks. Thursday: Did the Magic Kingdom in the morning. Anthony made ressies for Marissa to do the Wonderland Tea Party at the Grand Floridian, so we took the Monorail over and dropped her off. Then had a bite to eat. I got back to pick her up a little bit early, and was looking in the windows, to see what the kids were up to. Well, they scared the pooh out of me. They were hiding on the floor behind the tables, and all jumped up and yelled, “No peaking” I was so embarrassed. The kids all got a photo with Alice and the Mad Hatter, and presented the parents with a bouquet of flowers. Very nicely done. Afterwards we headed over to Epcot. We did Future World and then headed to Canada for dinner at Le Cellier. Le Cellier got a big thumbs up with our group. My dad said the salmon was the best he ever had. After dinner we finished the countries that we hadn't seen on the first night. Had a rainbow margarita. Yummy. Went home after that. Friday: Had breakfast at Kona Café. Had the legendary Tonga Toast. It did not disappoint. After breakfast we went to the Magic Kingdom. We did the Tomorrowland Speedway. My daughter and I were in the first car, Anthony and the baby were in the next car, and my mom was behind them. As we got to the finish, I am looking at the ground and pointing for Anthony to look at all the bolts all over the place. My car gets up to the part where you exit the car, and it would not go up that little hill. The cast member is waving me in, and I’m thinking, “No, no way, not gonna happen” She tries to push the car, and it’s still not moving. Now a guy comes over to give us a push. How embarrassing. I got off the ride knowing full well that Anthony and my mom would be laughing when they caught up to me. We were laughing so hard. We got to do the Goofy Country Dance Party. I highly recommend it. The kids had a blast. The 21-month-old danced with Woody the whole time. He kept putting up his arms for Woody to pick him up. Too cute. Afterwards a lady told us that she had more fun watching my son than watching the actual show. If you have little ones, this is a must do. Friday evening we went back to MGM. Anthony wanted to see the Walt Disney tribute. It was a really nice exhibit, with a film at the end. We came across a little lost boy at MGM, his name was Denzel. We took him to a cast member who took care of everything. Later on when we were coming off Tower of Terror, it was pretty dark, and Anthony said, “Chris look out!” and this little kid comes running right into me, and falls onto the ground. It was Denzel again. LOL. We were like, “Denzel, it’s you again” His dad was with him, and he was very appreciative that we helped his son out earlier. We left the park after this. Didn’t do Fantasmic, cause the baby does not enjoy the loud noises. Saturday: Sadness. Last day blues. We packed, stored our luggage, and went to the Boardwalk for a bit. We had to do the Boardwalk Bakery because my five-year-old had seen the “Food Unwrapped” special and wanted one of those twisted glazed doughnuts. Personally I don’t think the Boardwalk Bakery is all that great, but the kid knew what she wanted. After that we went to Downtown Disney, did a little shopping, had some ice cream, and then went back to Old Key West to catch our ride back to the airport. We had to wait on long lines at Orlando airport. They made an announcement that the airport was closed due to lightning. They reopened, and boarded us on the plane. However once on the plane, the airport shut down again. We sat in that plane for an hour and a half before they could take off. Talk about torture. Thumbs up: Le Cellier, Goofy’s Diamond Horseshoe show, Ohanas, Kona Café, Florida Tours, Share a Dream Come True parade, Mickey Ice Cream bars, mister fans, e-ride night, character encounters, fast pass. Thumbs down: Skipping Animal Kingdom, heat, rude people, strollers that fall apart, airport problems, heat, spectromagic parade (I’m sorry, but those characters at the beginning are a bit creepy), busses, and did I mention heat? One last note, everything I have read says that it showers in Disney world at least once daily, especially in July. It did not rain once the entire time we were there. Well, except when we were sitting in that godforsaken plane.

Thanks for posting the trip report I really enjoyed it! I can't wait to see the Goofy's Horeshoue Review (or what ever it is called now) My DD loves to dance and she is quite the little ham so I can't wait to see this! Do you need to get there early for a good location for the kids to participate?

Chrisant,
Sounds like dispite a few little glitches you had a wonderful trip. You picked some of our favorite restaurants to eat at. Ohana's is my Fav and we will be dining there for our anniversary dinner. Our DS will be celebrating his birthday at the Cape May Cafe and we of course can't miss Kona Cafe for Tonga Toast (I love that stuff). I'm glad you had a wonderful trip and thanks for a great trip report. The trip reports keep me going till our next WDW vacation. Paula
