Here in Clear Lake (suburb of Houston towards Galveston) we just had wind and about an inch or two of rain. It was fine.
I did hear Galveston had some wind gusts of 80-90 mph winds.

thanks for asking!

We made it through, just fine too! The rain is on its way here right now, the sky is getting really dark and it's thundering. Yesterday we had quite a bit of wind.

My office has a Corpus Christi location, and all was well there, too. My boss (of 15 years!) owns a coast house near Rockport. He went down a few hours before the storm hit to get his boat and everything secure. The eye of the storm was headed right toward his town, until about an hour before it hit. Luckily for him, the storm shifted and the "eye" actually hit 25 miles north of his coast house. He was so lucky. The house is right on a canal that opens up in to the bay. The water made it up to his yard, but didn't make it in to the house! He was much luckier than some of his neighbors!!

Thanks for asking! I love this place!!!

By the way, theresadisney...I'm so glad to see you posting again! I've missed my "neighbor"!!!

I'm glad everyone made it o.k.

I didn't know how many Disney friends lived in Texas.:)

We are getting plenty of rain here in the Ohio valley. It has rained ever day for about an hour or two then it is sunny the rest of the day. Sorta like Florida.

Thanks for letting us know how you're doing!!!

Glad to hear everyone is okay! Weather like that is so scary because it is so unpredictable.

We could use some rain in NY. I don't think we have had a good soaking rain in weeks. Everyones lawn is brown.....but my garden is flourishing!!;)

rlander, clever avatar!! I like it!!

We have had LOTS of rain here in SC this year. Well let me just put it this way, last year this time we were in a SEVERE drought like 12" below normal and several lakes were so far down boating was prohibited. THIS year we are 8" ABOVE normal with all lakes above pool levels!! So think about it in the past year we have had 20" more rain than usual!!! I tell people all the time last year they prayed for the rain and they didn't say how much and God answered!!
