17 days now !!!!! and yes .. as long as DH doesnt get worse, as I said he is feeling a little better today .. ya'll I was really scared when I started this thread .. I mean scared bad .. he was looking awful, the fatique and lack of balance was so extreme to the point that he was using the wheelchair. see thats bad because he really doesnt want to use the wheelchair.. it makes him feel like he really is disabiled. he was becoming depressed, and nothing was making him feel better. But he has been teasing the girls again today and asking over and over how many more days (he has short term memory loss) till we go.

PollyAnna, one of my favorite Disney Movies ..or at least one of my favorites with Haley Mills .. any way she always played the "Glad Game".
I reminded myself just a few minutes ago that I have so much to be Glad about. Starting with my husband's MS hasnt progressed much this past year.
Another reason to be Glad is the wonderful support and heartwarming messages I have recieved here on DC .. all the help and info I have gotten about WDW and wheelchairs and Mickey giving us the new Disabilities forum. These are just a few of the reason I have to be Glad :)

I'm like ilvminnie, I believe in the power of prayer, something happened last night that even made me realize it even more. I know you're on a lot of prayer lists. I hope this trip can be the best one ever for you and your family. You deserve it! You've been a great friend to all of us, and we see how strong of a person you are. It's ok to get upset though, and if you feel like sharing, we're all here for you. I know you've been there for me more times than I can count.

I wanted to share this with everyone because you have been so great and let me whine over my fears and worries. DH has become so excited that his morning greeting is now "Greeting Mouseketeers" he keeps saying "I want to leave now" and talking about how if we left early we could stop more, rest more and maybe even get a night at the All Stars before checking in to CBR .. of course this is impossible if my sister is going (thats still a huge question mark ) because she is working right up till the morning of the 7th. But his mood is just fantastic!!! I am hoping that the reason he was doing so bad for a couple of weeks was the heat and the fact that he pushed his self beyond his limits.

actually I think that has made some difference ..even the girls have been kinda excited about that ..as you know often they stand over reading everyone's post. and believe it or not we (DH and I ) were just discussing breakfast at CP on the 9th also

tink, I missed your original post but I do hope things are getting better for your DH. If anything can cheer him up a trip to WDW will do it. I hope he feels better in the days to come and can enjoy WDW. Keep the faith.

thanks DisneyTeacher .. I hope no one read the orignal post :( I was really scared when I wrote it. DH was really doing bad but he has improved. there is one thing missing this this year .. normally He does his "I'm going to Disney World dance" when we are this close ..but my darling cant dance or he will fall down:( its ok though .. we are going to WDW and I get to met up with ilvminnie and :)Magic Happens !!!!

I know it's hard for both of you, but going through this process & coming to grips with it will be good for him in the long run. He'll accept some limitations & maybe not get so frustrated with them. That will reduce his stress level & yours, too. It's kind of like the grieving process after you lose a loved one. It's difficult to accept, & at first you have all kinds of questions, but then you adjust to the difference in your life. Look at it as a positive thing if you can.
