Why is WDW so Magicial?

Our family has been DisneyAddicts for 30 years and each year we can't wait to go back...Some friends can't understand that and are always asking us WHY GO BACK AGAIN YOU WERE JUST THERE?
So why do all of you go back?

Before my daughter was born it was because it is such a happy place and I LOVE being surrounded by the magic. After our first trip with her this past March it is now because of the look on her face!!! That look is priceless!!!

I have to admit it. I love the way my Children light up when they talk about WDW. When we go, their looks are priceless.

It is amazes me that more people don't go. It is hard to explain to someone the look that comes over your childs face. I found myself crying Monday night when we were watching the WDW planning DVD and DD kept saying OOOO look there's so and so I want to do that again. Or there's Buzz I helped him fight Evil Zurg. And she had this look of just total Joy on her.

I want her to grow up with as many happy memories as possible too many children know NO joy at all in their lives so forgive me for wanting to give mine all the magic I can!

I couldn't agree more. With all of the terrible things happening throughout the world it is amazing that we can go to a place where we can escape all of the madness. Besides where else can you go where you are immediately transformed into a child again.

the smiles of the girls live over and over for us ...even now ...they wake up every morning and go to the board to change the number of days ... we brought a real big frown to barbie's face by saying we were thinking of going back after we brought them home this trip so we could spend a couple of days with Dixie and her family ..so much for that idea ..she was seriously hurt at the thought that we would go with out her ..
gcbdad what you said .. thats perfect yes .. the world and its worries even affect our children / grandchildren .. but as long as they know there is a real NeverLand ( aka WDW) they will always know there is someplace where being happy exist :)

I wanted to mention that my DH had a horrible childhood. His mother died in childbirth having him and he was passed from relative to relative until he graduated from high school. He had never been on a vacation until he met me. We didn't take our first Disney trip together until our children were 3 and 1 when we went to DL two years ago. My DH is a man of little emotion probably due to his childhood, but when he saw the look on my DD face when she saw the princess in the parade...he cried. I believe it was a dream come true for him.
I can actually here the excitement in his voice when we talk about the things we will do on this trip. It just gives me a warm, magical feeling. Disney is special!

Thanks

Thanks for all the wonderful thoughts of why we visit Disney. We are at the stage of our lives that our children are grown up but STILL they want to go to WDW with us every trip. (Maybe it's because we pay), nonetheless we get a hugh reward still taking them. Now DS and significant other want to go in October. And I can't wait. Probably nothing new but it will be her first time, age 27, and I bet I can turn her into a 12 year old again. Keep hoping they get married and have some kids cause I will need an excuse to go back when "I am 65". Sounds like a song.

I read your post with tears in my eyes ...because I too have a DH that needs to go to WDW specially this year. This trip has kept him from becoming overcome with Depression. When He was first told he has MS he kept saying "I have nothing to look forward to" First I planned our 3 week trip for next year and that helped a little bit ..but then wow the FairyTale Package came out and we could go this year. for us .. it really is like a Fairytale come true and something we needed at this time!
