I just found out that another dept in my company is going to WDW next week for their dept meeting! They are staying in the GF (!), all get 4 day hopper passes, and even have one day in Universal - all for FREE! Here I am planning my next vacation and trying to save every penny so that I can splurge down there, and they get to go for free. And get paid for it. Not fair :nooo:

Sorry, I just had to vent to people who I knew would understand. At least I'm going, right? I hope it rains on them (that wasn't me, it was the little :devil on my shoulder ;) )

WOW! I understand completely...my boss got to go in June for 5 days...all expenses paid because it was a "convention." What company do you work for? Any openings in that department? ;)

For my department meeting, I meet with 6 boring men, in an 8 ft x 8 ft room, hotter than haiti, snacking on 5 day old donuts. As bad as that is, meeting at Universal Orlando would be worse!!!!:p

I feel your pain. My friend and her husband get to go every year just about for a convention and stay for free (that's me green w/envy!!). And to top things off, they are the ones that have all the $$money in the world, so it's no big thing out of their pocket to go and pay and stay(which they do too)....share the free stays w/the little people please....LOL:p :laugh

I'd be wanting to put in a request to move to that dept immediately....LOL;)

Wha??? I'm sure you are kidding, but wha??? Any park for free would be great imo. Universal would be even better, and Disney of course is the ultimate. But I would gladly step in for you if you have a meeting at Universal someday. I will even bring Krispy Kremes. :laugh

Sorry....We are not fans of Universal. We have been there twice and had bad experiences both times. If I am going to fly to Orlando, I would rather spend all my time at WDW. We see no need to go anywhere else.

Oh, I understand all that (I take plenty of Disney only trips), but you would pass on a free trip to Universal. Like I said, just call me up, I will hold all the meetings for you. :D Fresh Krispy Kremes and all. I may even buy Starbucks if the trip is all inclusive. :laugh

Here's a good one. My BIL is a Physcians Assistant and twice a year they have medical conferances in WDW and DL. They get to pick any moderate hotel, get UHP for all persons in his family, meal allowance and flight for himself. All they really have to pay for is flights for my sister and niece! My niece thinks there is no other vacation spot!!:)

Yeah, I'm definitely considering a transfer, lol! Unfortunately I'm sure this is a once in a lifetime opportunity, and they're going next week. Our dept is going to FL too, but we're going to a spa resort. Who needs a massage when you can have Mickey!???!

I feel better now. Thank you all for sharing in my pain. :)

PS - I'm not a huge fan of Universal either, but mostly because I think it's too expensive for what is offered. For free I'd be there in a second.
