During our trip to WDW in June, we ate breakfast at Cindy's Royal Table. I made up some small sheets of paper with my Daughter's name and address to give to the Princesses. She gave one to every princess and they all seemed to know what she wanted. They all said, "Are you giving me this so I'll send you something?" She said "Yes".

Well, it's been over 36 days since, and we have not recieved anything from the Princesses. Should I be patient? Should I call Disney Dining?

BTW....I got this tip from DisneyAnne.

Has anyone else been succesfull at this?

I have never heard of this. Not sure just what Disney Dining could do -- they deal with making ressies, not what the characters do.

Jeff, I was just wondering the same thing myself. I'd made up business card-like notes that said something like, "Thanks for making my visit magical", and added the boys names & address. They each gave them to different characters at Chef Mickey's Breakfast and then to Chip and Dale (their FAVORITE characters) at the Ice Cream Social. They haven't received anything yet. I'll post a reply to this thread if they ever do.

I have to be honest that I got that tip off of some website a couple of years ago and I had never tried it. Seems like I read somewhere recently though that someone had some success with it. Seems it was Cinderella at CRT...

If it were me, I would call Guest Services and explain the situation. I'm sure there is something they could send out so your little one isn't disappointed.

I am sure others have done this, because the Princesses seemed very aware why my DD was giving them the note.

My sons did the same things at the character meals when we were there, which was the same time as you, and my DW was sitting here scrapbooking the pictures from our trip and had just said that we had not received anything either.:dazed

Disney Anne, I had read this tip on several other sites also.

My Dw and I have decided that everything does not work for everyone, but it is still worth a try to create some special magic. For instance, we had read several places about people staying at WDW hotels getting towel animals and other suprises left by mousekeeping, but we received no suprises when we stayed at Poly even after leaving nice tip each day.

But we still had a great time:D

Update...Update...

I called WDW to see what they could do in this case. Believe it or not, I spoke to the General Manager in the castle. He said that they normally do not send anything out. He was very friendly and apologized, but there was nothing he could do.

This must be an urban legend. Do not waste your time making up the notes to the Princesses.:cry:

You know I'm not upset. It's like the phone game. With as many people that go to WDW every year there is bound to be false information floating around.

BTW....Tink did send me a PM and offered to send postcards. I took her up on the offer. This will definitly make my kids day.

tink, You're so sweet to make the offer but it's really ok. I'll explain to the boys and I'm sure they'll understand. They got pictures with the characters and their autographs so it's not a big deal. Again, thanks so much for your offer.

Update!!!!

On Saturday my DD received a signed 8x10 picture of Belle and the Beast.

I still think this is an urban legend. I think the manager of CRT sent the picture out because he felt bad for my daughter. When we were on the phone, he asked for my name and when we were there. He must have looked our address up from the reservations.

My daughter is soooooo happy.
