Awwhhh Shucks!! Any suggestions?

I booked the FTP for 8 glorious nights (Oct 11-19) at CBR, Looking forward to a nice long stay on-site for the first time!

My best friend from college has planned her wedding for Oct 18 and of course I am maid of honor! I have been waiting a very long time for her to finally settle down and get married. So I really want to be part of her special day. My problem is how am I going to do both.

I am afraid if I cancel the FTP and cut trip to 6 nights it will cost me more than my original package, I can't amend the dates because DH wouldn't be able to be off two consecutive saturdays (we were planning on leaving after he got off on the 11th) and I don't want DD to miss too many days from school (she's out for columbus day the 13 & 14 :D). What in the heck am I going to do!!:cry:

What are the chances that the wedding date will or can be moved?

Since you can't amend the dates, I see it coming down to two choices - postponing your WDW trip or sending wedding wishes from Orlando. Good luck!

I have to agree ... but I think I would try talking my best friend in to getting married at WDW *grin*

The wedding date is pretty much set in stone, I think I will change trip dates if possible? Can you change dates on FTP? Uhh ooo:dazed Any way if I can change the dates to Oct 10-17, I am thinking about taking DD out of school early on Fri 10/10 and DH will just have to miss the wedding. The wedding is in Birminham, AL and we live in metro Atl so we could drive back in on Friday and I could drive over to B'ham on Sat.

I am sure you can change the dates, there maybe a little fee for it. I am sure Mickey would know. do you have any of your paper work for the FTP? if so look on it for info about it

The pixie dust must be all over my trip!! I called the disney club resrvation number to see about switching the dates and I got it changed no problem and also added my request and special notes to my reservation...I requested the Jamaica village ( but I still need help on a bldg and room location :D ) non smoking room with fridge and best of all it's noted that I will be celebrating my birthday on the 16th! Yeah I am so happy! Maybe I will have some disney magic upon arrival!!!:)

No fee required for the change!!! payoff date moved up but that's no problem!

that is wonderful!! I had heard somewhere that they *did* get charged for changing the reservation around (different resort though i think). Now everything seems to be working out great for you!! Yeah!!
