Do you read up on Disney literature?
Hey guys, I'm back after a week and a half hiatus! lol. The boards have changed so much, there's so many new posts I dont think I can keep up! Anyways, back on to my topic, lol.
Do any of you guys read books on the Disney history or the parks? I mean other then the guide books. I recently finished reading Mousetales 2, its a good book about what goes on Behind the scenes at DisneyLand. I also own a Biography on Micheal Eisner called "Keys to the kingdom" and also a business book called "7 tips to the Magic Kingdoms success", they are really good. I read in the summer disney magazine issue that there's a new book filled with imagineers essay's called 'the imagineering way", I went to my local books a million store yesterday, but they didnt have it, . lol. Does anyone else enjoy reading Disney Literature? Could you recommend any books? lol

I enjoy Disney Pictorial History Books, but I find most anything fasinating if it pertains to Disney.
One book I have at home called Disney: the first 100 years is very nice. It is all about Disney and his achievements, therefore all the parks are included, and since it goes beyond his years on earth it continues through the Paris and Japanese parks as well with a small look to the future at the end. Perhaps I should check out Mousetales though. I am positive I would not be able to put it down.

I think I've seem the Disney:the first 100 years at Barnes n Noble, is it a big book? I love those old pictures of the castle and early rides. And anything about the theme parks gets me excited! lol. I should check that one out.

I also have an edition of Disney from A to Z, I got about 1/3 through that and have not finished. Think more along the lines of reading a Dictionary (only all Disney items). :laugh

Someone recently gave us a book on Imagineering that is just wonderful. My DD actually read the "Keys to the Kingdom" one! I'd love to read more, just don't have the time anymore!

I just read an interesting book "The Unofficial Guide, Inside Disney" by Eve Zibert. Generally it was very insightful regarding WDW from concept till now. There are some parts that I think are way to critical regarding WDW but some of the history and facts are stunning.;)
I recommend it. Two Goofy paws up!:D

Those are 2 great suggestions skwak and Mick, I should check my local library out for those 2! Minnie, I admire your daughter reading Keys to the Kingdom, How old is she? I have to admit I stopped reading it half way through becuase it was getting to much into Corprate Disney and stoped talking about Eisner.
