First Post and First Question...

Greetings,
This is my first post. My DH and I are planning our wedding anniversary trip that we take every December. This year it's to The World. I have a question concerning Disney Dollars. It seems that they would be great to stash away, little by little, for spending money for our trip. But are they accepted everywhere in The World just like U.S. currency? I tried to do a search on several sites, included go.disney.com for FAQ about Disney Dollars but came up empty. Any and all information will be appreciated. Thanks ever so much.

Welcome to Disney Central andrabell! You'll find all your Disney questions answered here. We love to help with the Anniversary trips too! lol. To answer your question, yes Disney Dollars are accepted anywhere and everywhere inside Disney World. You can buy souvineers (sp?), snacks, and pay for dinner (though I would leave the tip in u.s. Dollars, lol) with your disney dollars, and so much more. Disney dollars are accepted just like u.s. dollars. They are a great way to save up for a trip, since you can only spend them in Disney you wont be tempted to buy anything at home! lol. Have fun planning and welcome aboard!
Joe:)

Welcome to DisneyCentral. You can spend Disney Dollars just about anywhere. There are only a couple of places that won't take them, such as McDonalds in Downtown Disney, and some of the other restaurants there, but anything inside the parks, or resorts will accept it just like US currency.

Welcome to DC! Hey, since it is your anniversary, don't forget to mention that several times on your trip, like at check in, when eating out, etc.--you never know what might happen:D

Welcome To Disney Central Andrabell :) Since it is your anniversary, I'm like teresadisney, mention it when you check in. Disney is really great about doing special things. If you check out this site, I imagine you can find some really good information and tips about anniversarys. DisneyTeacher just got back from wdw, she spent her Anniversary there, and it sounds like she had a great time! You might want to check out her trip report when she posts it.

Good Luck, and Welcome to DC :) :)
