Our children actually know we are going, but are young enough to not know exactly when. We are going to fool them (a little) and tell them we are going the following day we are scheduled to leave. So it will be a little bit of a suprise. And it will also get them to bed on time without being too excited.

I am, however, extremely excited! My DS called me "Disney Girl" one day and now my husband calls me DisneyGirl all the time.I am eating, drinking, sleeping Disney right now!!!:) :)

inluvwithdisney, I know how you feel .. last year our DGD's knew we were going to WDW but they thought we would be staying at the CBR, which we had planned to do till we saw the AKL on the travel channel. We let them believe right up to check-in at AKL that we were staying at the CBR. DH pretended to miss the turn for CBR and end up at AKL .. he said that since we are here we should look around. the youngest got very worried we were going to be thrown out *grin* ..but it was so hard to keep the secret .. specially on the drive down to WDW!!

I really don't have a question or comment, I just wanted to see my countdown, Or maybe ask when I should start packing? I would have liked to have started when I made the reservations(June) but need clothes to wear for the summer (heehee)

I always want to start packing the second my trip is planned! But then I force myself to put it off forever...and somehow always end up packing on the day before! So I would suggest starting a countdown until mayve 2 weeks before...and THEN you can start packing! :) That way you won't get so caught up that you forget, either! Hehe. Isn't being excited FUN?

I don't know how you guys are keeping this a secret from your kids! I can't stop talking about it, and I think I'm driving my family crazy!

When my parents tried to keep WDW a secret from us (in 2000), my dad totally blew it. They told us we were going to DL, but there was a special surprise.
I asked if we were staying at the DL Hotel, and my dad said, "No. Because they don't have a DL Hotel where we're going."

HELLO!!! It didn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that we were going to WDW! (for the first time!) I was bouncing off the walls within five minutes, screaming in excitement! But then I was sworn to secrecy, and I had to keep the secret from my sister for the next few days. That was the hardest secret I've ever had to keep!! :dazed

By the way...if people are still interested in meeting, we will be at the MK on the 14th but ALSO the Studios in the evening of the same day! So whichever works...I'm more than willing to have 2 meets! :)

Hanging by a thread (no pun intended!!) I just booked the limo to take us to the airport, our flight leaves at 6:50 A.M. so I figured I would leave our house by 3:30 A.M. the airport is only 40 minutes away, but I am soooooooooooooo excited I want to get there early!! and you ask how I'm hangin' in there!! 2 guesses and the first one doesn't count!!!!

I started packing a few things travel size stuff, I am so pumped about our upcoming trip, I am retiring from my child care business in 8 more working days (August 22, 2003) My kids start school on Monday August 25th and I can hardly wait for that! :D They are getting quite bored at home (but not for long) I have done day care for the last 7 years and I am done. my kids are 8 and 10 and I really don't need daycare, I have another job at home. so I will be there on days off. I need a change of job!!

But I really can't wait;pinch: to go to WALT DISNEY WORLD!!!:) I really need to go and get away from home, the dogs barking, the kids screaming, disney take me away!!!:D okay it's calgon but vacation is like calgon to me!!!
