i am getting married at WDW. fanatic, i have suggested i do by 98 degrees to be played at the reception. i haven't mentioned it about a wedding song yet. we haven't really made any decisions in a while because we pretty much covered a lot of ground. that and with yesterday's blackout, we can't really seem to do much anymore until we officially plan the wedding next month with the disney people.

Um...may I add a suggestion? :)
The song I've always wanted at my wedding is "From This Moment On" by Shania Twain. Not a big country person, but this song is a ballad anyway, so it doesn't matter.

Some of the lyrics...

From this moment life has begun
From this moment you are the one
Right beside you is where I belong
From this moment on

From this moment I have been blessed
I live only for your happiness
And for your love I'd give my last breath
From this moment on

From this moment as long as I live
I will love you
I promise you this
There is nothing I wouldn't give
From this moment on

You're the reason I believe in love
And you're the answer to my prayers from up above
All we need is just the two of us
My dreams came true
Because of you

ANYWAYZ...so that's only part of it, but I think it's gorgeous and the perfect wedding song. Good luck picking one out!

I agree with Mickeymac

"Promise" is a beautiful song, makes me teary when I hear it. It can be found on the Millenium Celebration cd (which my DD plays every time we get in the car )

I'm not really sure...

I got it in the park in 2000. I just checked Amazon and they have it as part of a package for $49. I may be able to get my DH to burn it for you (if he can get the burner working properly).

Thanks for the info. I'd really like to get a hold of a copy. If you are ever able to burn it, I'd be more than happy to pay you! :D

When I get older and find someone that I want to spend the rest of my life with, I am hoping rhat we will automatically have some song that has sentimental meaning to us. Something that he can seranade me with. That when I hear the song my legs go to jello because I know how important it is to me.

Wow, that was really deep wasnt it?

We share a magic day, we share enchanted nights
It's a neverending story and together we all find
It's been a part of me, it's been a part of you.
A part of growing up together
Sharing a dream come true.

Wedding Planning...

Something I thought would be a wonderful job, helping to plan one of the most wonderful days in two peoples lives. Wonderful until I realized that I would have crazed brides phoning me at all hours and that it would entail working almost every weekend!

When we got married we went with all classical music during the ceremony (more in keeping with the atmosphere of the church) and used more contemporary songs during the reception.

Our first dance was to Louis Armstrong's "What A Wonderful World".

Whatever song you chose, it will hold special memories for you and your DF. We still listen to ours on a regular basis

I find it reasuring that people are still entering serious relationships with guys who want long term commitments. Too many guys nowadays just want to have a fling and be done with it.

that is so true, fanatic. there aren't too many guys out there today that want any kind of commitment. when rob and i first started dating, we just wanted to have fun and see where our relationship would take us. before we both knew it, we fell in love with each other. our relationship has been great ever since and has been growing stronger every day. i guess i was one of the few lucky ones that found someone who would commit to something serious. now, we're going to be committing ourselves to one of the most serious things in a relationship: marriage. it'll be one heck of a journey, but we made it through a lot. we both know we can make through marriage easily.

hey fanatic. don't worry. you'll find someone. oh wait. scratch that. i can't remember where i heard this from but i remember it being said that women shouldn't go looking for love; love should find them. the men are the ones that need us so let them find the women. let the love of your life find you!! men are the hunters anyway. if they can go hunting for deer and other animals, then they should go hunt for their women. i'm not saying they should shoot the women after they find them; they should love them and take care of them. ;)
