Universal's Peter Pan????

When I went to see Freaky Friday today, I noticed a movie poster of an upcoming movie called "Peter Pan" with a slogan of "Let the fight begin." It looks like a live action movie. I was curious and obviously went in for a closer look....it is a Universal/Columbia picture! I am sure that Disney doesn't own the story of Peter Pan, but I thought it was interesting that they are doing one with a slogan of "Let the fight begin".... a reference to Disney?

I can't wait to see this movie.

Captain Hook is played by Jason Isaacs. He also played William Tavington in The Patriot, Lucious Malfoy in Harry Potter 2, and Mike Steele in Blackhawk Down.

The only thing I don't like is that its mostly kids. Sure Hook was as well, but they had all been in a couple of things. And you had Dustin Hoffman and Robin Williams to pick up the slack.

Looks like its going to be good either way.

I watched the trailer. Wow!!! This looks really cool. Too bad it's not a Disney movie. I'm surprised Universal would make this film. Most people associate Peter and Tink with Disney, therefore, I think some people will think this is a Disney movie. I guess Disney will get free publicity without spending a dime.

Well, I honestly feel that Universal is THE BEST movie company out there, so I am glad they are doing a Live Action Pan. I love the Peter Pan story and am looking forward to it.

Don't get me wrong, Disney has it's share of good movies, as does WB, Paramount, etc... it just seems that for every five movies I really enjoy, three of them are Universal pics. ;)

Look for another take on the Peter Pan story next year as a movie about the Authur comes out with segments of the Pan story brought to life throughout the movie.

This is interesting.....Here's a link to the hospital's web site. Peter Pan will be 100 years old in 2004. The new movie will kick off the year long celebration at the hospital.

WOW!! Y'all know your stuff.... I loved the trailer. I agree with rlander in that I believe people will think this is a Disney movie sp I hope its as good as the trailer appears to be...
