Wow!! Lots of us going at the end of September.

Well, me MickeyPappa and MickeyBoy will be headed to the AKL (at least that is what I have booked for now) from September 26-October 5.

Have about 1/2 of our PS's made, may just wing it for the rest though.

Wellllll...most ppl know I'm gonna be there the same time as Jacki and inluvwithdisney! :) Sept. 13-20, and we're shacking up at All-Star Movies. CAN'T WAIT!!!! :D

We will be at the AKL, September 1-7. I can't wait to get there! I can't wait to see the look on our son's face. Now, everytime he talks to someone, the first thing he says is, "I'm going to Disney World and guess what? This time we're staying at the Animal Kingdom Lodge!!" Then, he does this little dance and sings 'Hakunna Mattata'(sp)...lol ...I'm starting to dance, too!:) :) :)

You are so lucky iluvwdw2! The Animal Kingdom Lodge is a BEAUTIFUL resort, I wish I had more then 3 days when we stayed there in May. One week will be awesome! Oh and P.S. Im in a Navy family too! lol

My husband, daughter and I are going to WDW on September 18th. We are driving down for the first time. A little anxious about the drive because of back problems, but hope I will be ok. We are staying at the AKL. This will be my husband first trip to WDW and my daughter and I's 4th. We have never stayed on the property before, so we are really excited. Any advise for the drive or any comments about the hotel? I read the comments posted and have found them to be very helpful. My husband will be celebrating his 40th and me my 50th!!!

Welcome to Disney Central,bazrim!! What a great hotel to start out your stays on-site!! The Animal Kingdom Lodge is a great hotel. When I stayed there,I had a wonderful pool view room. If you have reservations for a standard view room,why don't you,a few days before your trip(4-5),fax the AKL and ask them very nicely for a complimentary room upgrade? That's what I did,and I got upgraded from standard to pool view. You never know,it might happen.

We are driving up from Coral Springs ,Florida (approx. 3 1/2 hours) on Sept.20 -23rd. We are staying in Fort Wilderness Cabins.We did the same last year .They are wonderful.Hoping to enjoy atleast some of the activities at the resort this time.We only had 2 days last trip,so we missed out on alot.Not to mention there was a "miscommunication" between my DH and I:dazed and we forgot the bag w/ the kids clothes and stuff.We spent the first night at the Wal-Mart trying to find them what they needed.lol It's funny now,but not so funny then.:madmad
We are all very excited.My 2 yearold keeps saying "I want to go to Mickey's House!":love:

We are so excited:laugh ! I log in, sometimes, just to see my days change. My family loves Disney and dh will be home with us, Monday. This is the perfect way for us to wind down, especially, after our pcs to Mayport this week! :) :) :)

Our family will be staying at the Fort Wilderness Cabins from Sep 22-26. we have 3 kids and two of them can hardly be contained. The youngest, boy almost 4 yo, has downs syndrome so he doesn't know yet. But he is going to love it. He doesn't hear to well and doesn't talk at all but is really stimulated by images. My eldest daughter, 9 yo, wanted to stay at the Animal Kingdom Lodge, but as much as I love my children, I don't want to spend 5 days in teh same room with them :) The door in the cabin is well worth not seeing Giraffes from your balcony.

My family will be at OKW the 19th-27th. My oldest DD is working in Epcot on the College Program, so we will be spending time with her and my youngest DD (the sailor) will be flying in from San Diego the 21st. We also have some extended family joining us that have never been before and for some reason, they think there isn’t enough to do in the 5 days they will be there!!!!
