Proud Father of a new PH D

I have to express a lot of parental pride to the group. My oldest daughter successfully defended her thesis and received her PH D in neuroscience from Washington University in St. Louis yesterday!:D
She has worked so hard from her undergraduate work at Johns Hopkins to her masters at Purdue and finally her PH D.
And what does this have to do with Disney Central? Guess where she is going to celebrate. She's going to Disney World!
Our Oct. family trip will now be even more of a celebration.
Thanks for allowing a proud father to brag a little and to all of you who help make our WDW vacations so special.

Thanks so much for beautiful comments! I really did feel like this is something to be shared with my DC family.
I'm also proud that she has her priorities straight. She could have scheduled her defense anytime before the end of the year, but she wanted to be sure it was before the WDW trip so she would not have that hanging over her head and could totally concentrate on the magic.
I've helped create another Disney fanatic!:D

You definately deserve bragging rights! One of the greatest unexpeced joys I've found in parenthood is the pride I have when I watch my DD succeed at something she's worked hard for. I bet your cheek muscles are tired from smiling! :D Enjoy the much deserved celebration!
