Help me decide which park to visit.
We are coming up on a grand ocassion in my life. Well not that grand but I am turning 40. I am not really worried at all about the age. I mean I have 3 DC's (7, 5 & 5) and we are expecting our newest DD in early December. That worries much more than turning 40.
Anyway, let me get to the point. I pomised my DC's that we would make a day trip to WDW on or around my birthday. We live about 60 miles to the west of WDW and have Resident Seasonal passes so tickets are not a problem. :) :) :) My dilema is which park should we go to? We were just at WDW for 2 days in mid August and spent a day at EPCOT and a day at MK. We are tentatively meeting some friends in October at MGM. That leaves AK. We have only been to AK for a half day once, but were not that impressed, so we left and went to MK. Maybe we didn't give it a fair chance. Maybe the problem is that we live right next to Busch Gardens and see animals all of the time so we aren't that thrilled to see the animals. I don't know. I am leaning towards AK knowing that if we are not thrilled we can still hop to another park. I need some direction. Can anyone help me????????? I need guidance!!!!!!!!!! ![]() |

Hmmm... to me, a birthday is not complete without fireworks. I'd say to pick your favorite celebration: Illuminations, FIS, or Fantasmic, and end your day there. Start it at Animal Kingdom though, and take it wicked slow. The kids can play in the Boneyard for a good bit while you and your wife relax before heading on.
Just a thought, I'm sure there are many.

I agree with MickeyMac. I would start the day bright and early at AK...especially since you have only been there for a half a day! It is such a great park, not just for the animals, but the theming is just amazing. And there is something so....calming and tranquil about being there...especially when you walk in through the Oasis. I don't know, I fell in love with it when we were there in August! Plus, there are LOTS of things for the kiddos to enjoy there!!!
I would also love to end the day with a fireworks spectacular...I absolutely LOVE Illuminations, BUT if you plan on making this trip some time in October, the NEW fireworks spectacular starts at MK and it is supposed to be the grandest fireworks display Disney has ever done!!!! ENJOY!!!!!!!!! And have fun on your birthday. YOU WILL, YOU WILL BE AT WALT DISNEY WORLD!!! :laugh :) :laugh :) :p
