Mickey,
I was just sitting here and wondering wouldn't it be nice to have some disney music playing on the computer while viewing the posts. Just a suggestion can you pipe in music to this site. Not sure if you can do that or would even consider it or if other people would like it, but they can always turn the volume off. Going into the parks and hearing that music is a wonderful feeling.

Good idea. It would be nice to hear the music while Im on the site at work.
When Im home I usually have a disney cd on and its neat reading about other peoples trips reports and different disney stuff and having the sounds of disney in the background.

My suggestion - for those of you who have a stream player like Real Player on the PC and iTunes for Mac, is to do a search for "Disney Internet Radio" -- there are so many links to sites that play music from the parks and movies (and RIDES!) all day long - especially at www.Live365.com. Go there and search for Disney. You'll be surprised at what you'll hear.
These sites are generally free, and you'll find yourself either getting a fix or desperately needing to fly back to the park in a rush. I often get nostalgic when I hear the full ride tracks, such as Star Tours or The Haunted Mansion, so something like "Tomorrow's Child" from EPCOT, which isn't really played anymore at the park. It is a fun way of sort of being there. The music plays separately in your player and you can continue to surf the net while you read Disney Central.
I prefer this method because it doesn't require you to sit and wait for each page to load and play midi files of the music. You just leave it on (like a radio), and continue surfing. And you're listening to the real songs, not electronic versions of it.
Those of you with a broadband connection really should take advantage of internet radio. There's music for every taste. I've even used it as background music at a party for friends who like alternative music. I don't own a single alternative song, but the music in the background was a hit (especially when run through good speakers)
And I know little kids would probably
love to hear Disney stuff playing like that. At least I hope they will.

Geeman's suggestion is great. I usually listen to live365.com during my workday. If I'm in a Disney mood (all the time), I listen to the disney channels. I listen to one channel for a couple days until I start to memorize the playlist, then I change channel for a couple more days. It really makes you feel like you are right there in the world. I especially like hearing the resort tv's commercial ads for the parks.

I wholeheartedly third Jeff's and Geeman's suggestions - I love it when they play the "it's a zip-a-dee doo-dah, Tip for Today!" clip from the Disney TV stations -brings me right back.

My faves are FloridaProject Radio and Park Hopper Radio. oooh, and Disney Rob Radio...

geeman thanks for the info. I tried that live 365 station and I love it. Like someone said when you listen to certain things from the resort it puts you right back into the MAGIC.
I love the one with the information about the AKL and the ZIP-A-DEE-DO-DA...

Grumpydad, you don't need a Broadband to listen to this site! I don't have a broadband and it works just fine!!!

It's great to hear all of the theme park music...it really gets you in the mood...especially while cruising all of the Disney websites!!! If only I could get the speakers on my computer at the office to work!!! :dazed

I'm not sure what my machines problem is, if I try to do any other net related work while listening to one of the feeds, the feed becomes intermittent. It is a bit like listening to an old crystal radio :).

It is still a very cool site and is really getting me in the mood for our visit!
