Pal Mickey

Has anyone rented or purchased Pal Mickey while at WDW yet. Is it worth the money? Is it just for kids or will adults get a kick out of it also? Any feed back greatly appreciated:)

We bought a Pal Mickey in July and we were very happy with it.

My DS 5 wasn't really intrested in it but we loved it. We hooked it on our backpack and had it with us all the time. My father-in-law bought it for me while I was checking us in and he was told he could return it in 24 hours for his money back if we didn't like it. I am not sure if it was less a rental fee or the whole $50.00 that he would get back. I kept it and we had fun with it.

We also bought one while we were there this past july/aug...
My DH and I love Pal Mickey. I so think that its worth the money. My DH was like a little kid every time Mickey would vibrate he couldnt wait to hear what he had to say. He even started playing the games when we got back to the room and on the ride home.... :) :) :)

He is a Mickey Mouse stuffed animal that talks as you walk around the park and tells you where you are, giving you information about what to look for/at around you. I believe it's $50 to buy, or $8/day to rent...

We bought one and really enjoyed him alot. My brother is going to WDW in a few weeks and we are going to let him take Pal Mickey with him. Since it is my brother...maybe I should charge him a rental fee! :D :laugh :p

You can buy Pal Mickey from almost any gift shop at WDW. I saw them at every resort gift shop and most of the larger shops in the parks. I am guessing you purchase the Pal Mickey for $50.00 and if you decide that you don't want to keep it you return it in 24 hours and get your money back less the rental fee ($8 I have heard). Don't worry, you won't return him, you'll want to keep him.

He works in the 4 major parks. He resets as you enter the park and goes from there. You do nothing but turn him on and he does the rest. We left ours on for the entire trip and the batteries were fine until long after we got home.

I haven't heard of anyone here on DC who didn't like Pal Mickey. When I first heard about it I wan't really intrested but once I saw how little he is and had him for the day I was hooked. My DH enjoyed it more than I did!!

Where can we get a Pal Mickey before our trip?

We would like to buy a Pal Mickey before out trip in February. We looked on a couple internet sites but they wanted almost $90. Tried D-Store online but nothing listed. :)

They are $50.00 in the parks. You can buy them just about anywhere. We got ours in the lobby of the Contemporary after eatting at Chef Mickey's. They work in all the parks and they are a balst! Epcot was non stop! We took a stroll around the World Show Case as you walked from country to country it just kept on vibrating and spewing facts, it was a blast!

I wanted to check out Pal Mickey, but DH didn't want to spend $50 for a stuffed animal!!! :madmad Maybe next trip...I think my DS Nathaniel would get a kick out of it!

Another thing I noticed was that if you rented a stroller at the parks, they were giving a FREE RENTAL DAY for Pal Mickey! Don't know if they are still doing that, but they were in August when we were there!
