birthday surprise
Sara, my nine year old DD will be celebrating her 10th birthday on 2/8. We fly home on 2/3. I wanted to do a prebirthday surprise for her in WDW and unsure what to do. I thought about the firework cruise but, DD is a little skittish about doing any boats in WDW since we saw the gator in MK last trip. I then thought about getting something sent to the room...a Pluto (her favorite) stuffie or something of the like. Does anyone know if the hotel staff will do this for you if asked? I don't want to put anyone out or anything. I just thought it would be a cute idea to get her a little bday gift each day and have it in the room for her when we go back each night. I'm not sure how to coordinate it yet so I was hoping for some suggestions from you guys. Thanks.
PS: One of her surprises is a limo pick-up and drop off from Tiffany's. She will get a kick out of that one.

Dana, the hotel staffs usually are quite accommodating. I'd explain to them what you have in mind when you first arrive and work from there. I've heard Disney will decorate your room with a birthday theme and you also can get a cake sent to your room. Check this link for a ton of ideas on ways to celebrate a child's birthday at WDW.
I'm sure you'll find some wonderful way to pre-celebrate your DD's birthday.

Thanks Park Hopper. I am definately going to ask the hotel to help me out. It's not her actually birthday, so I kinda feel a little dishonest doing the birthday button. Our last trip (10/02) was her birthday present. I let her pick one place to eat there to celebrate her birthday and I kinda felt bad about it afterwards because her birthday is February. I don't want to put anyone out and at the same time I want to do something special for her. Do you think it is wrong to get a birthday button and celebrate her birthday early?
Thanks again.

Not wrong at all. We are celebrating my husband's birthday when we go down and his birthday was last week. This was the week we could go so this is the week we will celebrate!
They seem very accomodating with doing things.
