Computer Question

I'm trying to put in a custom aviator I found. I keep getting a message saying the image is too large. How do I adjust the image? Thanks in advance for your help.

You can edit the image with the windows Paint program.

Open up Paint, load the image, and go to Image --> Attributes. There you can set the image size. The maximum size is 100 x 100 pixels I think.

Somebody please help me. I have tried this and can't get my image into Paint. What am I doing wrong?

Okay, I managed to get it changed, but it cut off the bottom part of the picture. Any idea what I did wrong? Thanks!

Thank you. I had baby Hercules and baby Pegasus (sp?) for about week. Cowboy Mickey was kind enough to size it for me. I jsut figured out how to do one all by myself. I love the caslte when it changes colors. Makes me long for WDW even more.:)

Why thank you Ron. What a nice thing to say. Yes, I figured out how to import thumbnails but still cannot figure out how to alter the sizes. Oh well, practice makes perfect. I kinda like the one I have now so unless I see a really awesome one, I think I'll use this one for a bit. :D

Dana: Thank you for your thank you. As to resizing, mmouse671 has posted a method above, using Window's Paint program. The only note that I would add is to watch the ratio between Horizontal and Vertical pixels. If you are trying to reduce a 300 by 200 pixel picture, when you change the 300 to 100, then you must change the 200 to 67 (200 divided by 3). This reduces the picture uniformly without stretching or skewing the image. Paint will open many types of picture formats; be sure to save your reduced picture as a GIF file to use as an avatar. I hope I haven't completely confused you. As a last resort, you can E-Mail the picture file to me and I can shrink it for you and return it.
