ATTN: Meet & Greet Folks
Okay guys.... this is the situation we are looking at: We are still one room short of having enough to get the 10 rooms we need to get the deal Mickey has found for us. One room at $98 per night is about $300 without tax.
This is what I pose... What about if we split the cost of that last room to get this thing booked. We can use the room as a hospitality room to get together at odd times like when the bar has closed or kids want to get together or a group wants to chit-chat and needs a hideaway or whatever. We can store suitcases or whatever anyone needs to have stored there. PLUS... in case anyone gets in the doghouse, it could be used if necessary by the sinner. It would work out to around $30-$40 total per room to cover the cost which is not much considering the money that will be saved in the long run. We can go ahead and get the contract done so we can all start paying for our rooms. Besides that... who knows? Maybe someone will come along late in the deal and want to buy the room in the process. How do y'all feel about it? IF anyone has changed their plans, PLEASE let me know ASAP. Thanks y'all!!! This is the for sure list I have: ajbdk5 - 2 rooms iluvwdw tiggerlover1971 jdwj4lfe/sillyme dznygrl/mickaholic4077 DisneyAnne neen 626 aurora's twin Caroline Boyle Attending but no room: parkhopper thevandusens sandanv1 goofygal1975 - not sure of # of nights

I second what mickaholic said, ~~Oh Mickey, where art thou? Can you help us? Can the Magical Gatherings campaign posibly get us a deal for 9 rooms?:nervous
Anne, if not, then yes I will pay toward the 10th room for sure! You know I too want to get the ball rolling on this, and I'll do anything you need! ;) :) :heart Ames

Okay... I called the phone number for Magical Gatherings (which is Disney Travel) and spoke to a woman at length about this. The price she quoted me is more than what Mickey did... the basic package for 9 rooms as is would be $569.47 per room for the 3 nights. This is for the room only...no tickets, wishes or whatever. NOT A DEAL!!! Our best bet is to keep trying to get a 10th room.
I sincerely believe the ideal thing to do is to absorb the cost of that 10th room amongst ourselves - even if no one else comes along for the room, it will be used and surely everyone can spare $30-40 between now and February. I personally would like to get my room and all paid off before Christmas. I am still open to ideas from y'all.... On another note, I also spoke to her about the Magical Meetings... These can only be booked if this is booked as a Magical Gathering. Its not that important to me that we do any of their programs if its going to cost that much more. We would not be alone with our group. There would be other groups with us if we did it. I think our itinerary works and she said I can still call for PSs with a large group without MG. Thoughts?

I totally agree with you,Anne. We do NOT need to do those special programs if they can only be booked as part of Magical Gatherings. When do we have to have our deposits in by? I can only pay my share of the deposit for the first night now and pay the rest when we check in. Can we do that,or does all the money have to be in at once?

Anne, I think your itinerary is perfect and the magical gatherings sound meals would have been cool, but we'll have a blast without them.
I am ready to send any and all $ you need, just let me know where and my moola will be there!:D Cha-ching! Let's par-tay! :p Amy

Mickaholic... I will have to check with Mickey on all of that. I'll let you know.
I need to hear from everybody on this issue of the additional $30 or so. If everyone is okay with it... I will give Mickey the go ahead to get the contract. Please take a second and let me know... If you are more comfortable, you can send me a PM.... Thanks y'all!!!:D

Hello,
Joe and I are ok with the extra $30 or $40 for the extra room. Let me know how much you will need for a deposit and when. It has been a horrible last couple of months for me and I am looking so much forward to this getaway. Let the pixie dust wash over me and take the sadness away. Maria

Just an update... I have asked Mickey to go ahead with the contract. Somehow, we will absorb the cost of the 10th room and if someone wants it, they can pay us. Hopefully, we will be able to get in touch with each of you regarding your room. Thanks to everyone for participating! :D

Any word from Mickey yet on our contract/reservation? We're 2 weeks away from making the PS's! Yippee! Just let me know which ones you want me to call for, and I gladly will. Anne, do you have all the replies yet so we'll know who and how many for each PS?:nervous I will help with anything at all. Amy ![]()
