Cinderella Carriage Pumpkin

Hi Everyone! I saw this and thought some of you might be interested. I thought it was really cute. It doesn't look like it would be that difficult to make. If anyone wants the instructions, send me a message and I can e-mail them to you, or give you the site.

I know last year we had sort of a Disney Theme to our Halloween decorations. This Pumpkin would go really well with that.

Sure! I found the project at www.bhg.com and unfortunately the wheel pattern downloads through adobe and I can't figure out how to copy and paste it over here. If anyone can help me figure it out, or can find it at better homes and gardens, please let me know or post it in this thread. Thanks!

Cinderelly's Carriage
Birthday candles light the way for this storybook creation.

What You Need:

This whimsical pumpkin will give a
beautiful glow to any room.

Short, wide pumpkin
Sharp knife
Spoon or ice cream scoop
Pencil
Tracing paper
Scissors
Cardboard
Utility knife
Newspapers
Gold spray paint
Gold dimensional glitter paint
Gold braid
Thinck white crafts glue
Upholstery tacks
Birthday cake
Candleholders
Wood disk approximately 3 imches across
Wood heart approximately 2-1/2 inches high
2 decorative wood pegs
Small piece of gold fringe
Birthday candles

Instructions:
1. Download the free pattern for this project. (Downloading requires Adobe Acrobat.)

• Wheel pattern
• Download Adobe Acrobat

2. Use a sharp knife to cut a circular shape on top of pumpkin and remove the lid. Scoop out the insides of the pumpkin.

3. Use a pencil to draw in arched windows and to mark the position of the wheels and seat. Cut out the windows. Cut an opening for a door on the back of the pumpkin
if desired.

4. Trace the wheel pattern onto tracing paper. Cut out and trace onto cardboard twice. Cut out the cardboard shapes. In a well-ventilated work area, cover the work surface with newspapers. Spray-paint the wheels gold. Let dry. Paint gold glitter onto the wheels. Let dry. Glue gold braid around each wheel. Secure each wheel in place with an upholstery tack.

5. Trim all the openings with gold braid. Hold in place with tacks.
