Mickey Mouse starts 2004 Daytona 500

Two of my favorite things combined Nascar and Mickey.

Disney's lovable Mickey Mouse will be the Grand Marshall and Official Starter of the 2004 Daytona 500. The delightful Mickey car will pace the field at the 46th annual running of "The Great American Race".

So who will be the drivers of the special cars? I'm really glad to finally see Disney getting in on this action ~ I'm tired of all the Looney Tunes cars.

This is absolutely terrible news.

As a Disney geek and NASCAR fan, I guess this means that I'm finally going to have to do what I've been meaning to do for a long time - actually attend the Daytona 500.

I can't really afford it, don't really have the time off, blah, blah, blah, but I'm going to have to make the sacrifices necessary to get there because there's no way I'm going to miss Mickey waving the green flag!

So after thinking about it for OH about 2 minutes I went and had to buy ALL of them. I think that Im going to keep 2 and give the other 2 to my DH as a late x-mas present. I couldnt pass up buying them up.

HOW FREAKIN COOL IS THAT!?!?!?!?! That will be one of the biggest perks of living in Florida.....NASCAR!!!! I will definitely have MY eyes on the tube this year!!! :D

We just went to Daytona this week the day before our disney vacation started. There was a lot of cute Mickey hats with daytona 2004 on them. I was kind of cool to see Mickey all over the place in Daytona too.
