WDW Vacation Pix. What do you do?

Not sure if this is in the right forum or not. But I just finished putting all of our last 2 trips to WDW in a photo album. Just a plain, slide them in the pockets, photo album. I had extra sets made of the the pix, and I am going to try my hand at making a scrapbook. But this all got me to thinking, what do most people do with all those pix? I had over 300 from the last trip and about 100 from the first (all 9 of MY rolls of film came back blank, only had my moms). Of course I have my favorites, that I put into a frame. Do most of you use the regular photo albums? Do you scrapbook with only your most favorite pix? I think my most favorites are from the last trip. My 9 yo DS got his face painted like a green dragon at AK. I love the pix of him with his face painted! And my 15yo DS doing the "My Little Buttercup" dance at Whispering Canyon at WL are my other favorites. Wish I could post them.

Back to my original question, what do most of you do with all those WDW pix?

I'd like to know too! We had over 200 photos from our trip in April and over 300 from this one! At first I was going to just do the album thing which is actualy what I have done with the first set but for these I am still trying to decide. I wish I had purchased some disney photo albums while I was there

As one of the "must do" things on my trip, I purchase at least 2 Disney Albums. I have to say though, this trip I was disappointed with the choices, looks like Disney is catering to the scrapbookers out there. When I come home I start sorting all my photos into groups, resorts, parks, dinners, etc... then put them together. I just finished one last night, it came out great!! It's mostly character interactions.

I wish that I could scrapbook, I just don't have the time or patience it takes.

This leads me to another question, Why is it every trip you end up taking more pictures? :dazed :D ;) !!!

Well, a lot of my Disney pictures just go into albums, some of the better ones end up in a scrapbook with ticket stubs, maps, etc. Maybe one or two of the pictures from any particular trip, become art around our house. These I scan, touch-up, print, and then mat & frame. Both my office and the area above our kitchen cabinets are mini-galleries. The best children pictures end up framed and scattered around the house. Pretty much any room you walk into has at least one Disney picture. Helps make the time between trips go by faster :).

And of course only the very best end up here at DC!

I don't scrapbook either. Mine are stored in a tupperware photo box, labeled and numbered so that the children (and I) can peruse them whenever they choose. It works for us!

Our pre-digital pictures are mostly in albums.

Our digital pictures are on my PC and also copied onto our Replay TV unit. (Similar to a TIVO) Now we can view them as a slideshow screensaver on our TV which is pretty cool.

I use the pictures that turn out very nice to put in photo frames and give as gifts. I try to remember to hide the photo from the person that I am giving it to so that the picture is a surprise as well. (I am not a cheap skate, I try for sentimentality!);)

Everytime we go down, I buy the WDW photo albums with the year on them. As soon as the pictures are devloped and I have time, they go in the albums. I also buy the smaller albums for my kids to put the pictures they have taken by themselves. It's a whole different world from the eyes of a child.

I do also get doubles for my scrapbook. I have one from 2002 but it is still empty!!

Oh Well......maybe someday I can start it!!

:)

I put all my photos in albums, and then I have duplicates for scrapbooks, and we also put them in frames and collages around the house.

I too, have tons and tons of pictures. I have them in Disney albums with the year and brief descriptions. I just started making a scarp book out of my Passporter's extra pages last trip. It's all journalized and it turns out cute. You can see my trip go from the planning stages to the actual trip and I make notes for my next trip. After all of that...I'll still have more. I don't think I'm getting double sets this time around. I have a drawer full of second sets that I can't part with.:)

Lauren, I totally agree!!! However, I have every intention of scrapbooking...SOME DAY! I keep buying and buying scrapbooking stuff and I save my pictures from all of my trips in my computer. And when I finally have time, (or when I can actually ALLOCATE the time), I will start doing my scrapbooking. I have 2 1/2 years worth of scrapbooking to do and I will do it! As God is my witness!!! :D

I ALWAYS get double prints and put one full set into the album that I purchase at WDW with the year, etc. The other set I set aside for scrapbooking. I want to scrapbook them all but I usually take the best ones and do it with them.

I'm trying to get my DD more interested in scrapbooking and when we go in March 2004 she & her girlfriend we're taking are wanting to scrapbook their pictures w/the characters.

I want to know too, why is it that each time we go we end up with more pictures than our first trip?!?! My DH always says to me "why are you taking so many pictures, don't you think that we have enough of the same thing from our 6 other trips?"

Does he not understand that DD grows each year & looks totally different in each picture standing beside each character? GEEZ!!

In ye olde days (pre-digital ;) ) we put our shots into albums, along with tickets, park maps, even Disney Dollars. Nowadays what I've done is to take all the digital pix and make them into a slideshow, complete with Disney songs as the audio backdrop. These are then made into VideoCDs, which most DVD players can play. That way we can play them on the big TV in the main room, have the sound through the cinema system, and everyone can watch and enjoy at the same time. I've also put menus on them as well, which gives the whole thing a bit more structure.

Soon as I've saved my pennies I aim to buy a DVD burner, which I then aim to have an entire DVD (or more ;) ) devoted to a holiday, complete with video from the holiday, the digital pictures, scans of the Disney 'official' pix, DVD menus, etc. Should make for an interesting project!
