My MNSSHP picture arrived today - sort of

What we got was a photo of Farmer Mickey instead.

When we got our photo taken at the party, the guy took the first one and I had to point out to him that his cable was in the way of the camera lens :( Then he took another and I wasn't sure that we were all looking or what since I was trying to get my 2yo to look up. That was it. He took a total of 2 pictures - 1 of which we knew was screwed up. Then he sent us away.

Now I know that there are alot of people getting pictures taken, but he could have at least LOOKED at the screen to make sure that he got a good shot of us.

Big DUUUUUUH!!! for the idiot photographer!

They sent me a letter to get another photo taken at some point, but obviously it won't be a Halloween one. There was something about the photo not being up to their standards - Geee! Color me surprised at that one!

I am extra glad I offered to take a family picture for this group that we saw by the castle because they offered to take one of our family and that is the only picture I have from the party with all of us in it. (And yes, I used the little screen on their digital to make SURE that their picture looked good.)

Oh Alissa.... I am soooo sorry to hear about your pic. I know Matto and Nina both lost their pix from recent trips and I would be devastated if it ever happened to me. Good thing you had backup ;)

So sorry to hear about your picture - what a bummer. It certainly wouldn't have killed him to take a few extra second to do the job right. Like Anne said you were smart to have a back-up.

It's a shame the photographer was horrible. It sounds like Disney recognized his poor ability and at least tried to make up for it. But as you pointed out, it will not be Halloween. I'm sorry for your terrible picutre experience. It would have only taken him another 30seconds to get it right. Perhaps he was just new and blown away by the crowds. I am glad you managed to get the one in front of the castle with you all together.

Sorry your picture didn't turn out! If it didn't live up to Disney standards, I can't imagine what it must have looked like. We just got ours back and they were terrible. We received four pics total--2 different poses. Neither pose turned out well. The kids eyes were half shut on one and goofy smiles in the other (the goofy smiles were not Disney's fault:p ). I felt rushed and there was a very small line when we had our pics taken. The photographer definitely could have taken more time to get a decent pic!

Wow! Losing all my pictures would be just awful! :nooo: At least we only lost one (or 2).

And disneydana, if your pictures came out like that, I'd hate to think how bad ours must have been for them not to send it.

When they took our pictures, there really wasn't anybody in line waiting so there was no reason for him to rush us through.With the digital film and all, you would like to think they would just take an extra shot to be safe. Next time I will do what somebody else mentioned and have the pictures done in a couple of places - if time allows. Probably won't be back at MNSSHP for a while though.

I got a call today from Disney photography apologizing for the delay in my receiving the MNSSHP picture but that my address was incomplete on her sheet.

Confused, I asked her if she was sure it was mine and she described the 3 of us in the picture. I asked if it came out okay (after having received the previous pics in the mail) and she said that it looked really cute. I was stunned!!!

Apparently because the guy took 2 pictures, they were treated separately or maybe they thought the first one was disposed of.

In any case, she is sending them out to me tomorrow. 3 copies for us!

Very cool! Guess there is still some magic floating around. :)

That's AWESOME!!!! :) :) I am so happy for you. I hope they are as cute as she says. You deserve a great picture after that bubble of a photographer messed everyting up for you. :)
