[OT] Saw Simon & Garfunkel last night

As a little treat to my DW I was able to pick up a pair of tickets to see Simon & Garfunkel in concert last night. If any of you S&G fans get a chance, do not miss this show. It really was worth the money we paid. We did have really nice seats as the tickets came from a friend with Bulls season tickets ( anyone remember them! ).

It was a full two hours long show and they played all the classic S&G tunes. Art sounded great and Paul was on top of his game as well. They were backed by a very small band, but the sound was fantastic. As a special treat they brought out the Everly Brothers for a couple of songs, very fun.

Our only critique, and it is not a fair one, is that we would have liked to hear a tune or two from Paul's Graceland album, but of course that would not have been appropriate to the evening.

Wow Harry! How lucky for you and your DW. I love S&G. I only have thier greatest hits CD, but enjoy listening to it on Sundays doing my weekend cleaning. It gives me sweet memories of being in the car with my Dad and hearing him sing to me. Thanks for the smile and the reminder of a great memory.

Really sounds like you had a wonderful time!!!
Let's face it, they just don't make music like they use to. I guess I'm showing my age. JOANN

Joann,I must be getting up there too, because I say to my friends that Sinatra on a bad day was better than all the new singers on a good day and they look at me like I'm an old fossil!! As to S&G,how I wish I could afford to go see them!!!!
