°O° Happy 75th Birthday, Mickey Mouse! °O°
Gang, just thought we should all take a moment and celebrate the 75th Birthday of the main Mouse himself, Mickey.
For 75 years now Mickey has been a part of our lives, indeed he's probably older than most of us here on DC. Without his presence we probably wouldn't all be here chatting. Without his trademark grin and unique, global appeal, there would be a lot less joy in the world... And as we all know, it all started with a mouse. Not just A mouse. THE Mouse. One of my absolute favourite quotes from my favourite Disney character, Walt Disney himself, I think sums up Mickey the best, and is a pretty darn good life philosophy at that. "Somehow I can't believe that there are any heights that can't be scaled by a man who knows the secrets of making dreams come true. This special secret, it seems to me, can be summarized in four C s. They are curiosity, confidence, courage, and constancy, and the greatest of all is confidence. When you believe in a thing, believe in it all the way, implicitly and unquestionable." - Walt Disney So Happy Birthday Mickey, and here's to the next 75. :)

Happy birthday to the greatest mouse ever!!! :D :heart I completely forgot it was Mick's birthday on Saturday--probably because it was my mom's birthday and she made me spend the whole day cleaning as her present! :laugh

Here's to the face that brings joy and happiness to children and fun and familiarity to people of all ages.
It's not easy to become well known all around the world when you're flesh and blood, let alone lead on paper (or, acetate, as it were). May we live another 75 years with Mickey Mouse. And at least another 75 after that. Here's to a hearty, Happy Birthday, to the Happy Mouse himself! Yay, Mickey! :)
