I just heard that Sadaam has finally captured they said he lived like a rat in a hole

I actually laughed out loud when I read what your husband said. That is too funny!! :D

I was told by my DBF, he was rather "excited" as he is a ex-sailor (Navy).

I hope justice will be done to that "man" It is long over due!!

Hopefully I have not offened anyone. That is not my intention.

my daddy is retired navy :) and so is my BIL and my sister was also in the navy .. we have a black sheep *grin* .. one of my brothers is actually in the Army and stationed up in NY ..but at least he didnt join the marines (now I hope I havent offended anyone but growing up a navy brat ..it was only natural to pick on the marines ) so he is forgiven
ya'll dont laugh but we suddenly got a house full of people .. neighbors gathered up here in front of our big screen tv to watch the news about the capture !!

I heard this wonderful news at church this morning. I hope it helps my dear friend whose son was killed in March. I also pray that it helps get all of our military home sooner.

Hey... you guys may be interested in knowing that Bank One the bank that host the Disney card makes up the difference for any pay for any reservest for the entire time they are serving in active duty!! How awesome is that... Bank One honors our men and women and for that I am thankful! They don't have to pay them while they are off defending our country but they do!! I wish more companies would follow their lead!

I cannot believe I went all day and did not hear anything about this. I can't believe not one of my customers were talking about this great event. I am so glad they caught the RAT! I am also glad he was living in a hole where he derseves to be. I have some other things I would like to happen to him, but will control myself from saying it. I'm sure it's nothing any of you haven't thought of. Now if they can just get the other RAT, all will be even.

Thank you to all the military and their families for serving and protecting our country and our rights. My daughter thanks you for her future.


Leslie - I am so sorry for your friend who lost her son. There are no words of comfort for a parent who loses a child for any reason, but I hope the capture eased her pain just a little. My thoughts and prayers to your friend and her family. Words cannot describe how sorry I am for her loss. I wish there was something I could do to ease her pain. Her child's life was sacrificed for our country and I wish I could tell her that I'm sorry for her loss. Please tell her she is thought of and prayed for.

Thanks Tink!! The War (Post-war or whatever you want to call it) is a very touchy subject in my neck of the woods right now. When that helicopter was shot down about a month ago. The pilot of the helicopter went to school in the city I live in and his father and brother live in the town I grew up in. I actually went to school with his brother, he was a couple of years older than I was. The pilot's mother is not taking it well (what Mother would?) She is blaming the military for what had happend.

It is a long story, not enough time right now to tell it all.

I just like to watch what I say about the whole thing.

Yes sir, one for the good guys!!!! I don't think it will matter much now violence wise, but it is a great win for U.S.!!!! May his trial be swift and just!!! But more than likely it will be long and drawn out. One way or other he is still in a deeper hole! :

And of course he was captured like the coward he is...He encourages others to blow themselves up, but he wants to "negotiate." What a joke! I'm glad they got him. I have to admit I was having my doubts that we would. Now I'd like to see a VERY public trial...something along the lines of OJ would be fantastic. I want to see him squirm!

I was awoken by a phone call yesterday to give me the WONDERFUL news. I am so glad that they finally captured him.

I also received a call late yesterday morning from my brother, Matt, who is stationed in Tikrit, Iraq. He is a member of the 4th Infantry that found Sadaam. The guys are really on a high right now. They were given 3 days off. Matt said he was about 25 meters from the hole.

It was great to talk to him & know all is well!
