What is happening at WDW Jan 15-17?

Need help. Can't find what all is going on there that is causing all the hotels to get booked up.

Anybody know what is going on or how to find out?

MLK Jr Holiday. Quite a few people get off of work for that so it's a great opportunity to take a long weekend at Disney without taking a vacation day.

I don't know if your dates are firm but I hear it's very crowded that weekend as many locals have a long weekend. My DGF went in 2002 and she said it was a mad house. It should be dead the weekend before and after though.

I also went to Disney on MLK weekend 2002,but I don't remember it as all that crowded. Oh well,I guess we each have different perceptions of what's crowded and what's not .

MickeyMamma-- If your plans are set and you can't change your dates... don't worry to much... We went on one of those weekends in October... it was crowded, but managable!! Hopefully that is what you will find as well!!

Hey... a crowded day at Disney... IS STILL DISNEY!! Learned that lesson here at DC!!

Isn't that the weekend of the Disney Marathon? I'm almost positive that is why everything is booked.

That is Jan. 11th, the weekend before.
