Help!! Frustrated with Amazon.com need info

Hey All,

I recieved a package yesterday from Amazon.com. It had my address on the outside but on the inside the package is for a family in SpringHill, TN. Our address has SpringHill Farm in it and I'm pretty sure they mixed up my address from a previous order with hers.

Here's the problem Amazon.com doesn't have a phone # to call and the return policy doesn't have a area for receiving the wrong package or someone elses package.

Any suggestion, should I just call UPS and have them ship it back to Amazon. I'm really feeling bad that I have a present at my house that belongs to this ladies son for Christmas. I can't believe Amazon doesn't have a better way to address order problems.

Do you have enough of the address to forward it on the the family? I know you would have to pay for it but what a way to help out a family you don't even know. I would write a note on/in the box to tell them you forwarded the package and send it on if I could. Don't forget to wish them a merry Christmas.

I just checked my order form from an order I got last week, and there is only an address, but it says to log on to
http://www.amazon.com/returns to return an item. Perhaps doing that will get you to a phone number!

Problem solved you know I didn't even think of that. I do have enough address to send it to them. I will take it to the post and priority mail it this afternoon. Thanks for the idea Stephanie.

Glad I could help. You will feel so good after you do that!! I love to pay it forward...you know buy the order for the car behind you at McDonald's or pay a toll at a toll booth for the next car. I feel good for the rest of the day.

Thank you everyone I knew I could count on you all. I mailed their package yesterday so that they'd get it for their son for Christmas. Here's the kicker there is a package for my boys from their Aunt/Uncle and counsins in Maine. Nobody seems to know where our package is either. Well a least I know I did the right thing and sent it along to the family to who it belongs. Ours will show up sooner or later. Thanks for the # Mickey.

Oh, Paula, I hope you get your package in time for Christmas. If your package went to the wrong address it would be nice if someone forwards it to you this week. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Sorry to hear about your package mix-up. Glad you sent that family the package. What a great thing to do. I'm certian they appreciated it very much. I hope the person who got your package does the same thing. Fingers are crossed for you.

Well our package won't be coming for Christmas seems the person who I recieved by mistake and forwarded their package to so they would get it in time for their child decided to hold my package hostage till she got her package (she had no idea I had forwarded it to her I'm sure till she received it). They said they were sorry for the mix-up and they will re-ship ours as soon as it arrives back to them. They didn't even offer my SIL to ship a new gift - they follow a strict protocol when it comes to returns I guess. As for the hostage holder I pray she find kindness in her heart and realizes not everyone in the world is out to get you. I'm glad her son will get his present and since my sons didn't know it was for them they won't miss it! It'll be a great after Christmas surprise.
