WOW... I just checked to see who was online! I don't think anyone is working today...

No school for me today:D

DS is home sick.:cry: He has had a fever since Saturday night. He goes from feeling pretty good when the Motrin is working to really bad as it wears off. He has had a very quiet day on the couch watching movies. It looks like I get tomorrow off as well, Nate's fever is still running about 102.

I have had time to wrap the last few gifts and pack them up in huge bags to take to our families. I have also had a chance to grade some homework assignments and catch up on daytime TV.

Unfortunately, I do. I'm a retail manager and these last shopping days before Christmas are a nightmare. I only have one more day off before Christmas and it's not till Saturday. It's not like that will be a day off either. I have my weekly laundry and cleaning and I have some last min. details to take care of for Christmas. Sorry to whine all.....not my favorite time of year for work anyway. The people are rude and nasty. All of the shop lifters are out in full-force and to top it all off with a cherry, I'm SO BUSY and jammed packed with people......ugh! I just keep telling myself "it's almost over" and "I love my job" over and over again. I'm waiting to finally believe either. I have been cursed at had money thrown at me.....it's insane. Nope didnt have a job today and tomorrow is a half day for me ( I took a job that is till noon ) so far I have nothing for thursday and Friday

Off again today.

My DS is still sick, today is day 5. He is getting better though, his fever is down to 100.3 today. He is off the couch and playing quietly, that is a huge improvement over the last few days.

My goal is to be back to school by Friday. The day before Christmas break is always a zoo at school and I would hate to leave a sub to fight his/her way through that day! Plus, I would be sad if my DS had to miss his class Christmas party.

Just thought I would let you know that public schools are not failing because I am addicted to DC.;)

I know why you want it over!!! I am a "Room Mother" for Alex's class every year for Christmas, Alex's birthday is Christmas Eve so I go to his party every year, now that they are getting older (5th grade) it is a lot more fun, they can actually understand my humor!!

and can actually do the craft themselves and hardly ever spill

P.S. Stephanie, I am glad Nate is getting better, Mikayla had a girl in her class that was in the hospital for the flu (that scares me!!)

okay, this is getting a little scary. I have cleaned my bathrooms twice this week. I need to go back to work before my house goes into shock. So far I have cleaned the floors on my hands and knees, dusted all the high places I tell myself can't possibly get dust as high up as they are, cleaned the bathrooms, stripped the beds, washed all the rugs in the house, and I am about to vacuum again.

I can't imagine what I will find to do tomorrow. Windows?

I wish I could Teresa, my house hasn't bees this clean in a long time (since before I found DC that is!).

Nate still has a fever of 102.? so it looks like I will be off tomorrow too. This morning it was down to 100 so I thought he might be able to go back tomorrow, not now. I like him to be fever free for 24 hours before I send him back and we are not even close to thinking about that yet. We will try for Friday.

I can't wait to see what I find to do tomorrow.

Sorry to hear your DS is still not feeling well. The flu has officially struck NJ. Yesterday I was feeling kinda iffy and told my DD to stay away from me...well she didn't go far enough. She has the full-blown yucky flu. Tomorrow is her class play and the poor dear is devasted. I'm sorry to say it, but I'd rather her have it now instead of over Christmas or God forbid on our trip. She gets it without fail so as soon as I hear the flu is going around, I know she's going to get it. I missed the flu shots this year....I could kick myself. I hate watching her feel so bad.

I hope Nate is better soon. He has had a rough time this week. Being sick stinks. Sorry he's going to miss his class party. I hope my DD is better by Monday cause that's when hers is.
