Tell me about your Disney Christmas

I was looking around the living room at all of the stuff that has found its way into our household and realized how much of it was Disney-related...

Just curious what everyone else got that has Disney ties:

* All three children got Disney PJs

* All three children got Disney movies - Lion King DVD, Freaky Friday DVD and Santa Clause 2 DVD and hubby got Chitty Chitty Bang Bang DVD

* Baby girl got Disney Princess figurines, Belle and Sleeping Beauty stuffed dolls, Ariel Doll

* I received the Sleeping Beauty ornament set from Disney catalog

* Two of the kids got Hallmark Disney ornaments - Rolie Polie Olie and Mickey & Pluto at the doghouse.

* Boys both received t-shirts from the Disney Store

I know that's not THAT much, but I'd say that it almost held the majority of the corporate dollars in our household with the exception being Nintendo... We still have another Christmas celebration waiting for us in Nashville... Anyone else?

Both kids got Disney PJ's (DS stitch and DD Marie)

Both kids got Disney T-shirts (DS Pirates and DD Timon & Pumbah!)

DD received the interactive/singing Simba. (from my sister)

DD received the "story reader" with 4 books that "read" to you. Books included Lady & the Tramp; Lion King, Peter Pan, and Bambie.

DS received the "disney legends" video in his stocking.

Me and hubby received Fireman Mickey salt and pepper shakers, and 2 different disney "board" games. Disney Charades and Disney Music (name that tune).

I got hubby a "grumpy" T-Shirt. He loved it!!

The kids got Disney candy in their stockings, too.

DS received a Mighty Ducks (NHL) poster and TShirt. (Not officially Disney, but still related!!)

I had bought several stuffed animals to give to both kids for Christmas, but since we already were waaaaayyyyyyyyy over budget, I am holding them back for our trip in March to give the kids "presents from Mickey" that they will find in our room each day of the trip. Got them at a GREAT savings at the Disney Store.

Great thread idea DisneyAnne! I recieved The 2004 Birnbaums (SP?) guide, Micheal Eisner's autobiography "Work in Progress", an antique Mickey Mouse box with a key and lock from my aunt, and if you've checked out my thread I made this morning, A trip to Disney! lol. So you can deffinitely say this christmas was full of disney presents.

We had a HUGE Disney Christmas, that started off being a joke in my family to cheer me up but turned into the most wonderfully magical day. We got:

Pirates DVD
Toontown Houses: Donald's boat, Cinderella's Castle, Aurora's & Sleeping Beauty's cottage (I LOVE the Castle!! It's magnificent and plays a light show)
The Cinderella Castle playset from WDW (best money ever spent - didn't see DD all day yesterday)
Sleeping Beauty castle playset
Aurora & Philip ballet dolls
Mulan & Pocahontas ballet dolls
Princess bead kits
World of Disney platter, napkin rings, Pinocchio salt & Jiminy Cricket pepper shakers, Bambi & Dumbo creamer and sugars (completes my WOD christmas dish set)
Set of Pooh miniature houses
Waterglobe with a golf ball to balance on a tee
a bunch of other little things

but the BEST was my new laptop!! (Geeman - it's the 15" powerbook!!!!) I don't have to struggle with my son's laptop any more and can use it to work with!! When I was first out on surgery, I was sooooo bored without a computer, so DH splurged and got it for me (he said it helped that I didn't have an impending Disney trip siphoning cash off him) My family was so cruel - my brothers were busting on me for sobbing when I opened it. (got my payback on my little brother later when he opened his gift, locked in a briefcase - had to guess the combination of the briefcase by answering Sopranos questions right)

I just feel like the luckiest gal this morning. I'm really rambling, so shutting up...

HMMMMMMMMMMMMM lets see:

DS's got Capt Hook set, Lion King 1 1/2 gameboy bame, Haunted Mansion video game, Disney clothes and more Disney clothes.

DW and I both got the new Mickey Mouse denim jackets from my sister Aunt Minnie (Not her real name but she was dubbed with that moniker after she started waorking at the Disney Store a few years ago).

DW also got a new MM watch and Minnies house to with her Toon Town collection. Not to mention the new Disney ornaments to go on the tree!

But here is the troubling part: I received an over abundance of Grumpy shirts, sweat shirts and even a mug! Do you think that THEY are all trying to tell me something????

OH yeah I alos got Mickey Jammys and some real neat shirts (Grumpy tee, Pirates tee and a nice long sleeve baseball tee with MM and the gang on it for our trip to DL!

Wow, Mickey Mac - would've loved to have found one of those under my tree. :D Congrats on one ultra cool gift. Let me know if you want to try iChat sometime.

Cool Disney gifts, everyone! We still have a friends Kris Kringle gathering this weekend, so I may yet see some other Disney stuff that was on a wishlist.

In the meantime, dgf gave me an awesome sketch pad with Mickey on the cover that she'd gotten at WDW for me. She noted that while we were on the cruise, I was eye-ing one just like it and had told her I used to love getting sketch pads for presents as a boy. So I thought it was so sweet for her to remember that. Her Disney related gift from me was the exclusive soundtrack to the Aladdin Stage show from Disneyland, which I hunted down on the net and was able to order in time. We won't be going there for some time, yet, but were both curious to hear the soundtrack, and I was thrilled to actually find it was available (albeit only at the park).

My littlest niece received a set of Disney Princess dolls from me, which she loved. I bought the same for a co-worker's daughter. I gave another kid the Buzz & Woody figures.

Fun, fun, fun.

There's no way I can compete with those lists. But my girls got tickets to La Nouba and I got a coupon from my husband promising an elegant dinner for two, dressed up and NO COMPLAINING from him. I'm cashing it in at Victoria & Albert's if I can get a reservation!
