How do you send the kids off to school each morn?
Some of you know I homeschooled my kids. My second son just went back this year and our youngest is still being homeschooled. I drive the boys to school everyday because the school buses are awful with the language some of the kids use and the drivers are so clueless. Well sorry for that preching bit. So I have this corny way to send the kids off it gives them a laugh even if they are in a grouchy mood. I say one of two things
Have a Bibbity Boppity Beautiful Day or Have a Magical Day Yes they're 13 and 15 but they chuckle in embarassment everyday and we leave each other on a good note. Even if I was screaming like a mad women 15 minutes earlier - we leave each other on a happy note. I'll miss saying that the next week and a half!!! paula

Your post made me smile, Paula, because as my kids were leaving the car each day to go the school, I would always say "Remember, you're never fully dressed without a smile". It was especially fun on grouchy days. Two days before Christmas I was driving my oldest daughter to her job at a toy store in a busy Mall - she was griping about how crazy her day would be and how she hated "shoppers". As she left, I hit here with the old saying. To which she replied, MOTHER, you are so lame - but she was smiling!

I wish I had a way to send her off to school like you two do. We both like our "space" in the morning and are NOT morning people until we are "ready". I do however, kiss her goodbye every single day and tell her to have a good day. Our mornings are like a 100 yard dash...we both loathe to wake up unless we are at WDW of course:p

Screaming like a madwoman??? What?? Never!!:p Okay, now that we've established that I'd never do that, I always give a kiss goodbye with an "I love you. Have a good day." I love your saying and will have to try it. I drive my kids to school too. They are still little, so it would be a fun tradition to start.
