Final Plans

Hey Guys! I have every plan set and ready to go. I went a bit over-board on the PS's (as usual), but nothing is set in stone and they can be cancelled if we change our minds when we get there (we have done this before). The only ones I am locked into are CRT (which I wouldn't cancell anyway) and the Princess Breakfast at Akershus (sp?). Those have deposits. So let me know your feedback. What would you cancell or what would you add? Remember this trip is for my DD's 10th birthday present and I want it to be *pure magic*. Thanks guys in advance for all of your comments and feedback. You, as usual, rock!

Day #1
Dinner at the Brown Derby

Day #2
Breakfast at CRT
Dinner at the Crystal Palace

Day #3
Princess Breakfast at Akershus
Dinner at Chef Mickey's

Day #4
Breakfast at Boma (we are staying at AKL)
Momma Melrosa's Fantasmic! dinner package

Day #5
Breakfastsaurus
O'hana's for dinner to watch Wishes

Day #6
leaving no plans but to ride RnR till take-off

I know it alot of planning and I'm usually against this many PS's, but it's her birthday. I think in my quest to make this the ideal trip, I went over board, but as stated above, these plans can be cancelled or changed without me having a breakdown. I'll let her decide if she wants to bail out or not. Oh! I am having Pal Mickey ordered and waiting in our room for us on arrival. That's surprise #1. I am so excited about doing this up right for her. I want it to be the best birthday she has ever had.

Anyone have any ideas of little presents I can give her at these themed meals? My plan is to present her with a little gift at each character meal to go with the theme of the restaurant. Any help here is appreciated. I have to get this part moving soon...we leave in a few short week. (WOO HOO).

Dana:

As you know we went for Paulies birthday and did many of the same things your doing. It set Paulie up with pin trading and each place we went we presented him with a special pin - he loved it. You can even build your own pins now at the pin trading stations. Your plans sound great makes me want to go back (real bad!!!).

Your plans sound great. The only thing I would change is the Fantasmic pckage. I would go with Hollywood and Vine rather than Mama Melrose. I was NOT impressed with MM the two times I ate there. Maybe I am an Italian food snob because my mother can make it 10 times better at half the price!!

I agree with mickaholic4077, about changing to H&V .. not just the food ..but I personally think its just all around better.
and preidel24's pin idea .. sooo perfect!!

Dana, Sara is going to have a wonderful trip (you too!) I can't say enough good things about H&V for the Fantasmic package. It was so so good. the location is also much better for getting to Fantasmic also. Don't forget to go to Customer Service and get Sara a birthday pin. Also, they will call Mickey on the phone there and he will give her a personalized birthday greeting at the park!!

Dana what a great plan!!

I don't have a lot of advise, because as you know you have been so many more times than I!!

However, I would get a GOB... With the b-day badges and all your DD will get the attention she deserves, but with the Guest of Honor Badge they will know her NAME!!

Our DD got a lot of attention with it... can't recommend it enough!

Hey Dana, your plans sound wonderful. If I remember correctly, MM is a favorite of yours and DD's. However, if you are going to consider H&V, we really enjoyed eating there and would do it again in a minute. If you have never tried H&V, I would suggest something new, unless Sara has her heart set on MM's. I don't care for Italian food:nooo: so of course I'm up for H&V. You guys are going to have such a good time!

You have such a great trip planned for your family!
I think your daughter will love all of it!
I like priedels idea with the pins!
It's a good hobby!
I also think that everyone is right about the Mama Melrose thing, I think that the Hollywood Brown Derby's food is definetely better!
Hope I could Help!

Dana:

Don't forget as the other said to pick up your birthday pin at guest relations. So many CM's (especially at MGM) gave paulie free trading pins that day just because it was his birthday. He also got special perks on RNRC and TOT (let us in FP line without FP's). Almost every CM told him happy Birthday and a few even sang to him. Sara is going to have a blast - can't think of a better place to have a birthday!!!

Wow! Thanks for the feed back all.

Paula - the pin trading idea sounds perfect. We get free Lanyard(sp?) and a pin set with out package so this would be a great start to surprise pins at each restaurant. Excellent idea! Thanks!

We have been to Hollywood and Vine several times and loved it. Sara picked Mamma's, so I'm not going to switch that one. She's into the "Italian Food"...not me...it's too filling but this is about her so I'll suffer for it....*note to self bring Tums...*

Polyman - We have been to Prime Time and enjoyed it. Thanks for the suggestion. (you're right that was positive...yeah!)

Now to get my pin ideas down. Luckily, I will have a secret shopper at WDW before I get there. Janice (Llama) has offered to get some of the pins I will need. It's getting so close...I can't wait. I have little brown jewelry gift boxes...perhaps I can decorate them for each pin...hmmm This is going to work out awesome. I knew I could count on you guys. Thanks so much!
