This is a tough one for me...
I don't like Disney's Hook, he was too wimpy to be Pan's Ultimate Adversary. I think Hoffman had the best look and Pirate band, but I think Isaacs getting to fly was great as well. Plus, Isaacs was both the father and Captain Hook in the movie which gave the story a deeper "Wizard of Oz" kinda parallel.

FOTFLMAO DA!!!!
Hey, DA, you're a Mod, can't you alter his poll??? I'll vote for Depp... hehheee! I'm not sure... I want to go back and look the movies over again. I want to say Issaac's Hook, really liked what he did with him. I actually wish he hadn't died.

I have to go with the new Universal version Hook. Did anyone notice the uncanny resemblance of Smee to the Disney Smee?

No Hook is better than Disney's Hook. He's more of an idiot than a Villian...he's hysterical. I love the crocodile going after him....lol:laugh

I know I'm the only one who will, but I had to vote for Cyril Richard. Not only was he in the "TV movie", but he originated the role on Broadway with Mary Martin. Now, being the theater freak that I am, and being that Peter Pan was the first show I ever saw on Broadway (though not with Richard), my vote has to go with him. (Though I love Disney's version too. :heart )

One of my favorite rites as a youngster was to watch the Mary Martin version on TV. I just LOVED Cyril Richard as Hook! Isaacs and Hoffman are tied for second. Thee both were perfect for the rool in their own way. Also the same actor playing Hook/Mr. Darling dates back to teh original on Broadway.

Sorry.....:o Didn't mean to get carried away! ;) But loved him in Chocolat....*SIGH* Okay... I normally DO NOT hijack threads, but I'm afraid I did this time. I need to get home and pop in POC.... Okay... if we aren't going to adjust the poll to include ALL pirates, I am torn between Hoffman and Isaac as well... loved both of them but since I love to laugh... I am going with Hoffman! :laugh
