Help! I need to purchase a bunch of Disney Dollars, but our two local Disney Stores just closed down last week. Does anyone have any suggestions where I can purchase them?

More and more of us are in that same situation as more Disney Stores close. I love having Disney Dollars to give to my DS but also lost the closest DS to us.

Besides the Disney Store and WDW/DL, where else can we get Disney Dollars?

Can you call a Disney Store that is still open? Will they do it by mail? The only problem I see with someone buying them and mailing them to you is that Disney Dollars are like cash and if they are lost... well, you know.

Could you buy them as soon as you get to Walt Disney World?

You can call the Disney Travel Company and they can help you to obtain the Disney Dollars that you need

I also was in need of Disney Dollars for my upcoming trip to Disney with my granddaughter. Unfortunately, I live in a state with no Disney store. I had a response from someone offering to pick up Disney $$ if I mailed them the money, my address, etc. Well, to make a long story short, I never received the Disney $ after sending a money order for $50. Even after several PM and pleas, nothing ever arrived. The sender even said they were sending another envelope with Disney $$ after the first one never arrived. I think the moral of the story is to make sure the sender sends them registered mail or make sure you trust them implicitly.

Or use Paypal to pay for them. Course, I was planning to send the Disney Dollars first then get the money for them. At least for Mickey I would do that. :)

Lymami... first of all it is good to see you around again! :D But did this happen on our board? Was this person a member of DC? If so, please PM Mickey, mattomouseman, rlander or I about it. I don't like to hear about things like this. I don't know exactly what can be done, but I don't think Mickey would want someone lurking around DC pulling fast ones like that... So sorry you had to experience that...
