Hi

Just looking for any tips on traveling to WDW with a semi-large group.
We have 8 people going.
So far, we have booked the flights, the hotel (POR) and are going to get together for a few meetings.

Any tips would be helpful

Book a dinner at Ohana's for one evening and bring extra film for the hula hoop and the coconut races. Loads of fun.

Split up to do the parks - dont' hang together or you'll spend the majority of the day going 'so, where do you wanna go now??"

Rent Mouseboats - one or two to a boat, and have a blast tooling around the lake.

Try to rent one of the platoons for an Illuminations cruise.

Take advantage of the private Safari for groups only (entire party must be staying on site and in the Magical Gatherings group)

Plan for accidents to happnen (MK so crowded that although you all plan to meet in front of the Partners statue, you still miss each other)

Pick a central location to hook up at, making sure you've all got it down pat. LEAD the members of the party there, before disbursing for the day, so you all have a visual. Make it near a bathroom, if you've got kids in the party.

Plan an afternoon "pool party" and meet at one of the resorts you're staying at for a swim.

Try to do one huge group photo - my favorite is with Sorcerer Mickey over at the MGM. He looks awesome and the lines are generally pretty good.

Theme days with colored tee shirts work great too - ("today's Yellow Day, put it on Dad, wether you like it or not!")

We have at least 20 going in May and DW called and got a "Magical Gathering" number from Disney so anything we want to do as a group we just use that number to identify our group.
Each "group" inside the GROUP can call and give their own credit card number to separate the cost. Hope you understand what I'am trying to say. If not, call Disney they will be glad to explain.

Alma, they use to go to WDW with us every year but have cut back on their trips to WDW and have gone to other places.
We have gone to Vegas and Phoenix with them so they owe us another trip to the Happiest Place on Earth!:D :) Joe

Hi mickaholic,
Joe and I will be arriving on May 15th. The rest of the group will be there on the 16th. Maybe, we can work something out for that Sat. that we arrive. Like Epcot again !!!! I think the Turtle's will be there. Joe had the list, and I think I threw it away!!! Shame on me..............
Anyone else there at this time? We'd love to meet up with you!!!! As time gets closer you can PM Joe or me.

Last trip in May of 2003 there were 17 of us. This trip in March, there will be 8 of us.
