Bring back Disney Half-Time show

Regarding Janet Jackson "exposure at the Super Bowl XXXVII Half-Time Show, I need to offer some of my thoughts. First, I don't think it was an accident nor do I really care. The overall theme of the show, aside from that event, IMO, is not very representative of the viewing population and was done in poor taste. After the show, I immediately remembered when Disney produced the Half-Time show a few years back. This turned out to be very entertaining and memorable. I would love to see Disney do this again. We need to reinforce better morality at events like this. Disney always has a way of getting out a positive message, bringing all kinds of people together, not alienating them by making a subculture seem mainstream. I have had about enough of "real life", I need my WDW fix real soon.:D

I have since found out they had male strippers at the half show also. We did not see them because of the cut to Comercial. So the show was planned by someone to showcase having exposure by the end of that song.

Disney half times rock! I'd love to see them return. Hopefully a new Disney era is on the horizon soon. Hopefully.

The Janet Jackson "thing" was planned. It was approved by the top brass at CBS. The whole story is on the Drudge Report.com with close-ups! Give me Disney anytime! :D :) Joe

Do the networks take turns with the Super Bowl? If it is aired on ABC, that would explain way Disney did the halftime show a few years ago. This year it was on CBS which owns MTV. Just wait until NBC gets ahold of it. They'll have Queer eye producing that halftime show!!!!!:hmmm

I for one could not believe the Half-time show... I was watching with my daughter :hmmm I was so irritated that they would do that kind of half time...

Give me a break with an accident and not planned... I really think the networks need to understand that we ARE SMART INDIVIDUALS OUT HERE IN TV LAND!!:madmad :madmad

You would think the half time show would be aimed towards a targeted audience. I think if you worked out the demographics of the super bowl audience both in the stadium as well as at home, the producers missed the mark. I am a 40 something female, with no children watching, who is by no means a prude, so I was not offended by Nelly grabing his crotch or even by Janet's outting. I was most offended by the flag drapped over Kid Rock. DH wants to know what all the fuss is about, half time means time to hit the bathroom and kitchen!

I think the producers should look at their audience and offer something for everyone. I also lay some of the blame on NFL. I find it hard to believe that they have no say in what is offered during half time. Accident? not in my mind. Appropiate for a prime time audience? Not really.

From what I have been reading today it seems there may be some sort of penalty coming CBS way. I hope so. I will admit I am a little bit of a prude, especially when it comes down to decency on TV in front of millions of unsuspecting viewers.:madmad
They should have known better than to have MTV do the thing anyway.

I watched Josh Groban sing, then watched Beyonce sing the national anthem (and was so pleased to see her DRESSED!) Other than that, I caught about 60 seconds of Aerosmith only because they remind me of the Rock n' Roller Coaster...

And I'm SO GLAD I didn't watch anything else! People disgust me! :madmad

If the people in charge of broadcasting didn't want this kind of garbage to appear on their station, why did they invite people like Kid Rock, Janet Jackson and Justin Timberlake to perform? To me, a 19-year-old music lover no less, those people are the epitimy of REVOLTING!

Remember when it used to be about the music? If an artist wanted attention, he/she actually tried to write a GOOD SONG.

I hope this is just a phase, I mean come on, did anybody actually find any of that the least bit interesting?

Oh sorry got to go, my wardrobe is malfunctioning...

PLEASE PUT DISNEY back on the half time show. This was so discusting! Not only what happened with Janet Jackson, but the music and shows all by them selfs. I don't think that the language in the music was approprate for all viewers!!! I personaly do not approve of the rappers music with all the faul language!

GIVE ME DISNEY, GIVE ME DISNEY!!!!
