Tell me your secret for ...

We are a family of 4 with my wonderful DW, a 13 yo DS, and a 9 yo DD. We are lucky enough to be going very soon to CSR (for the first time) and will be staying in a standard room for 8 days. We will be celebrating our 25th Anniversary and want to plan a little "together" time during our visit. Please share how you've handled this. Thanks.

I am not sure but I think the oldest might be too old for the Disney Kids clubs, (the neverland club at the Poly ages are 4-12 and I belive its the same for all of the kids clubs) .. but that is what we have done in the past. depending on your children and how responsible they are .. you might get some alone time by allowing them to go to the arcade for a while. Other then getting an extra room for the night of your anniversary, I am not sure how else you could go about it.

You could also get a babysitting service that comes to your room to watch the kids, while you go out for a night on the town!!! You could inquire at the front desk when you check in for this...or call the hotel directly. I am sure they could answer your questions!

Enjoy your trip, your kids are a GREAT age to go, mine were 10 and 8 and they had a blast!!!!

The night on the town is a great idea and our oldest is responsible enough and they both would enjoy a night in with a pizza and tv. It's just the coming home part that would be the problem.

One of the ideas we have had is to get refillable mugs and hope it's quite a walk from our room to the refill spot. That way we could send the kids out for refills in the morning.

yep thats how I understood your request .. you need private time together .. I really would suggest that you ask about a room ( hopefully one connecting or joining) on that just that night. Explain as ... *nicely* as you can why you need a seperate room for one night and that it is your anniversary .. I think if its at all possible Disney CM's will do what they can to help you there :)

The CM's are always great but I'm afraid my wife would be too embarassed to move next door for one night.

If your oldest is responsible enough to look after the youngest, why don't you drop them off at a movie in DTD for a couple of hours. And then pick them up when the movie is over. This should allow you some nice quality time with your spouse and give your children some independent entertainment also.
