Does anyone collect the pressed pennies? How many different ones are there in WDW?

I'm thinking this would be an inexpensive collectable for the kids. We already have some pressed pennies from the National Zoo and the Grand Canyon and Skyline Caverns so this would be something the kids would enjoy doing. Plus they just love winding that lever to press the pennies.

I know there is a collector book for WDW pressed pennies, I'm just wondering how many are there to do while we are there.

My DD has a quite large collection of pressed pennies. She LOVES to do this, and it is really a bit cheaper than the pins!! We have two books full. I'm not sure how many there are, but there are many in each of the parks, as well as the resorts.

I think there may be a list of where they are located somewhere else. probabally at allearsnet.com

I'm sure someone else will come along with that information.

So the collector books don't have which pp is supposed to go in each space? It just holds so many pressed pennies?

We have 2 different books from 2 different trips, they both hold 36 pennies and 6 quarters. I haven't ever seen one that is labeled (good idea though, you should suggest it to the right person when your down there;) ) As a matter of fact, the first time we bought a book, we had to ask a CM to look for one out back for us, they had none in the shop!!

Your kids will have a great time doing this, bring lots of change!!! We save the "shiny" pennies and DD brings down 2 change purses of pennies and quarters. She is on the hunt from the second we get there!!!

My DS had a blast collecting the pressed pennies and quarters. The machines are all over the place. Every resort has machines and many of the gift shops have machines. We didn't go to all the resorts but the CR had the most we saw in one place, I think there are 5 or 6 machines there.

Here is my tip of the day---We saved a couple of the mini M & M tubes because they are the prefect size to carry quarters and pennies in. It was nice to have the change in easy access.

Also the idea of the mini M&M holders are great too. They've already been sorting through their change and trying to figure out how much they have in their piggy banks.

They are little cleaning/chore machines now trying to earn extra money for the trip.
