Pal Mickey

Has anyone gotten a Pal Mickey yet?

Is he worth $50? I'm also not sure about carrying him around all the time, he seems sort of big. I'm worried I'll lose him or foget him somewhere then be out $50 bucks and have kids distressed from losing him.

He is not that big. He has a clip, but I found the clip slipping off most the time so I carried him. I was easily alerted that he had something to say when he vibrated, but had a hard time hearing him most the time. It was nice to get the inside scoop on short lines or shows starting, but it didn'e make me run right over to the suggested area.

I have been back to WDW twice since my original purchase, and although I packed him, he never left the hotel room.

We enjoyed our Pal Mickey, he was fun. I think he is worth the money, he is full of information. We clipped him on our backpack and took him all over with us. I always look around when we get off a ride just to make sure we have everything, nott once did Mickey come off our backpack.

It is worth the price to buy him, $60 now. Have taken him on many, many trips now. Thought many of the things were the same over time we enjoyed hearing it and seeing what we may have missed. He also gets updated through time (ie M:S, Philharmagic etc.) In loud areas he is very hard to hear. Still worth it in my opinion.

Thanks for the input. He looks great and if he can clip on a backpack that would work. We always have a backpack.

$60 though now. UGHH!! My DD really wants Pal Mickey so we'll see.

It worked for us to clip him on our backpack. We hooked him on the top handle loop of our backpack and he stayed there all week. I would always check after every ride to see we had him because the clip didn't look all that secure, he never once came unhooked so it worked for us.

We're staying 8 nights but getting a 5 day Park Hopper Plus because we'll be going to NASA and Universal too.

This is our 1st visit and probably our only visit to WDW. We'll maybe when I'm a grandma but since DS is only 7 and DD will be 6 when we go I think that is a LONG ways off :)

The kids really enjoyed our Pal Mickey....I will say after the first few days he sort of lost his charm & ended up in the basket in the stroller most of the time! My son clipped him to his shorts but had some troubles keeping him there. He rode on top of our stroller & whoever heard him vibrate first grabbed him & listened to what he had to say.

I'm going to send ours with our friends who are going down next month - figure I may as well get my money's worth!

My DS are 9, 13 and 16 and they all loved pal Mickey. They took turns carring him and when he talked they all passed him around. Funny this thread came up because just yesterday the boys pulled him out and were playing with him. I think he was well worth the money we spent for him. He's also a great reminder of our Nov 2003 disney vacation just like all the other souviners we brought back. I'm also looking forward to taking him back during our next visit.

PAL Mickey is highly recommended! Friends thought we were nuts when we explained all he could do until they got to see him in action at the parks. He showed TrendyMagic and I some trails in AK that we otherwise would not have noticed or thought went any place. He is a great investment. Not worth renting if you are going to be there 4 or more days, just purchase your own and enjoy.

Me...I wish they would come out with a PAL Donald, I would jump at that.
