Question about tickets
Hi
I am new to this site! There sure is alot of info here! I am planning my next trip to WDW in March 2005 (can hardly wait!) I am debating on going thru a travel agent (she is one I have used before and trust) or doing the work myself to book the trip. One of my major questions is whether to buy the 6 day hopper or ultimate hopper vs. getting the length of stay. I have read that Disney has changed rates and there is not much of a difference in price between doing an ultimate hopper vs. length of stay. Has anyone done this and can confirm this? Also, I am planning on this trip to start out at a value resort and move to the Wilderness Lodge for the last couple of nights. That always gets complicated if you move and have the length of stay passes because you are paying double on the day you move. At this time, I cannot surf around the WD site to get quotes for my vacation since it is over a year from now. Boo Hoo! Thanks for your help! I look forward to meeting you!

Sorry, I just read that Disney does not call it length of stay any longer! It is a ultimate park hopper. So my question is...is it better to get the ultimate park hopper or buy like a 6 day hopper separate from the room?
Thanks!:D

OK
1) I would say that if you like planning trips (like me) than go for it!! If not then go with your travel agent. but...... i would recomend using the Kingdom Konsultants because they specialize in WDW and will plan every little detail of your trip, such as PS arangments for dinner. That is something i doubt your travel agent will do. 2) Unless you are planning to go to water parks, pleasure island, or i think DisneyQuest, then go for the park hopper. I always just get the park hopper cuz we r mainly in the parks. About packages w/ ur resort i would just do it seperatly. sometimes they over charge for these packages. Also, WELCOME TO DC!!! :)

I have used both types of tickets and both have advantages.
If you are going to the parks every day and are thinking of doing water parks, Pleasure Island, and/or DisneyQuest then I think the Length of Stay (UPH) is great because you can do everything and not worry about how many plus options you have used. If you are thinking of taking a day off from the parks or don't plan to do the extras like water parks or PI then get the park hopper. The unused days on the park hopper never expire so if you decide to take a day off you are not out any money, you can use that day on your next trip.

Planning a Trip
I'll be happy to keep you informed of any specials or ticket options that you may have questions about. Currently we are not able to specialize your tickets to suit your vacation, but look out I'm told by reliable sources that we will be able to within this year! So your options will expand by the time of your trip, don't lock yourself in yet.:) :D :)

specials & ticket options
Hi and thank you.
I am new so, sorry if I am asking questions that have already been answered... When you say don't lock in, that is for tickets only right? Do you recommend locking in to a resort? Because I am under the impression that if a discount becomes available for a resort, I can change my reservation to get the discount. And when you say you are not able to specialize tickets, are you a travel agent or maybe from Mouseketrips? Thanks for your help!:D

By all means set up your resort, especially if you are not going for a year and a half and can lock in the price. Costs go up all the time. If a special becomes available at Disney you can always call and get them to change to the special.
I work for Walt Disney World and I sell the tickets. Currently you purchase a ticket with or without options (the plus part) and you use or save what you want. When we change the ticket options you will be able to design your ticket. Only need a park hopper for 3 days not four and want to go to disneyquest and pleasure island once each, I'll be able to select your options and pricing for you! At least that's the rumor. I think it will allow me to tailor your vacation for you and be a great guest service. You have plenty of time to wait and see on the tickets.:) :)

Thanks for keeping an eye on the ticket situation for us! A quick question. If I reserve room only for now and end up deciding on the UPH as the best option for us, can that be added to the reservation?

Yes, you may add the UPH when you check in at a Disney Resort, but not after you start your stay. UPH's are based on the number of days and nights you will be at the resort so they must be for the same number of night stays.:)
