I've got some really bad news!
I have some really bad news to share with all of you. We had a trip planned to WDW for Aug 18-24, but it looks like we might not be able to go! Our total for hotel and tickets was about $1500. We did buy the vacation protection plan, but does anybody know about how much we get back. We also booked our plane flight separate on Southwest airlines so we got the friends fly free rate. Does anybody know about how much we would get back on those either? This is really horrible, I'm so disappointed.

I'm so sorry for you I do have a small bit of comforting news for you. If you bought length-of-stay tickets, and you cancel at least 5 days prior to arriving, you'll get all your money back. If you have any other type of tickets, they're good forever, so just use them whenever you go next;also, you'll get all your hotel money back under the same 5 day prior rule. I don't know about the airline tickets, but maybe your insurance will cover your losses there.

Sorry about your trip. With regards to the airline tickets: I am a Southwest frequent canceler (due to changes in my business schedule). Southwest is great about helping out. They will issue you a credit (most of the time for the full amount of the ticket) that you can use for your next flight. If you call and give them your story, sometimes they will issue you a full refund to your credit card. They are under no obligation to give you a refund since you did not pay full fare, be nice and they might help you out! Chip:dazed |

I was going to say about what Chip said,When you call the airlines be nice to them,cause they are not obligated to refund your money,infact some airlines say outright that they will give NO refunds.
