Disney Club Discount
Hi, Folks!
I finally succumbed to enrolling in the DC again. I had been a member for years (when it was free thru my workplace), but I never bothered to join when they started charging for the membership (and cut the benefits:hmmm ) Anyway, all of a sudden I have been receiving discounts from a variety of sources! Since I already joined, I do not need any of them. If you would like to receive a $10 discount on a new membership, send me a private message and I'll send the info to you. The full price membership is $39.95, but you can get it for $29.95.

Hi lopo, if no one has asked for the discount info I'd like to. My other question to you is, what is the difference between the Disney Club and Disney Vacation Club discounts. I've been looking into joing the Disney Club but it almost seems that the discounts for DVC are better. I'm I missing something? Thanks for the offer.

GoofyMom, welcome to DisneyCentral.
DisneyClub is an annual fee club that you join that gets you discounts on park passes, rooms and restaurants, as well as other Disney happenings and a 10% discount at the Disney Store. You also receive an annual subscription to the Disney magazine. The cost is about $40 per year, and if you visit Disney just once during the year, it will pay for itself for a couple of years. The Disney Vacation Club on the other hand is a timeshare. Several of the WDW resorts are part of that, including Old Key West, Boardwalk Villas, Wilderness Lodge Villas and the new Beach Club Villas. You actually purchase a portion of the resort. The minimum purchase is 150 points and currently costs around $11,250, plus annual dues of around $450, depending upon which resort you own. While DVC members receive discounts on some things, I wouldn't consider joining it just for those discounts. Basically, DVC allows you to stay on property at a reduced rate, but you have to pay everything up front. There are several threads here that cover this better that I have been able to. Just do a search for Disney Vacation Club, and quite a few threads will show up. Click here for the search

GoofyMom, now that Mickey has explained DC and DVC to you I am not sure if you still need the $10 discount. If you still want to join the Disney Club, please check your private messages. I sent the code to you.
