Crowds at Easter

I think WDW is expecting huge crowds next week. The calendar says MK will be open 8 am till 12pm! Spectromagic will be twice every night next week! And even the AK will be open later than what we are used to, 7pm. I wonder if MK, or any other park for that matter, will be closing early due to attendance being at capacity, like what usually happens around Christmas at MK. Anyone know if there is any extra Easter activities next week, like a parade?

There used to be an Easter Parade, but some Dcers said one isn't scheduled. Some of the resorts do Easter Egg hunts for the kids, but you will have to check with your resort when you check-in. The crowds are going to be a bit much, but if you go as soon as the rope drops and hit all those "popular" attractions first, you should be ok. Just remember to take afternoon breaks and have fun!

We called a couple of days ago to ask a few questions of Pop Century, where we are staying starting Friday (4/2-4/9)!! They mentioned that they are Full to over flowing.....

Checking a live entertainment calendar, there are MANY high school bands in the worlds over the next week....which will just add to the already huge crowds during this time.

We're just taking our patience...and smiles!! Just being there makes everything ok....

Does anyone know if it's still the policy to guarantee entry to guests staying on property?

We will be at the WL the week following easter 4/10-4/17. This was the only time we could really plan for. It will be the first trip for my whole family. We are so excited!!!!!!!! We plan to go to Epcot on our first day, Ak second day and Magic Kingdom on the 3rd. These plans are not etched in stone. If anyone has any better suggestions for us rookies.

Thanks, Dana.
I can believe this will be a crowded time. After making our plans in January, I found out about 3 other families that will be there within the next couple of weeks. Two of my close friends planned trips individually from each other for next week (of course, both are teachers). And another of one of my traveler's friends is also going the week we are (the week after Easter) for their first-ever trip.

Oh well. Better than not at all, I guess.:hmmm

You will be fine because you know what to expect. A WDW vetern like yourself knows all the tricks of efficient touring to maximize your magic. You are going to have a great time. I just wish I could sneak in your's or your DGF's suitcase along with my DD and have a little magic myself. Pictures Tony...lots of pictures please!:)

Right now, I am sitting in my empty house, all alone and with not another person in sight! But I would trade it in the blink of an eye to be standing in the middle of Main Street surrounded by a huge crowd of people! Don't worry about the crowds! Just 1. GO EARLY!!! 2. STAY LATE!!! 3. TAKE A POOL/LUNCH BREAK EVERY DAY! 3. USE FASTPASS!!! 4. HAVE PATIENCE -- after all, we DCers are park pros... a little crowd never stopped our fun!
