Computer Q

Hey I have a computer question. It relates to Disney only in that my computer runs slow and makes DC less enjoyable.

I have an old PC and a brand new Dell. I use AOL and never get faster than a 26,400 connection. Any idea why? I have a new computer now, I thought that I would be a little faster??:(

Who configured your modem?

Your new computer *should* be faster, although without knowing more about each computer, I can't say that for sure. But if you're getting a slow connection to AOL, no computer can compensate for that.

Are you running Windows? If so, are you running XP?

Dial up is always slower, usually because of the service, not the computer. And AOL is is the worst (IMO) even their Broadband is slow!! Have you looked into DSL? Here in S. FL you can get it through cable or phone company, for a little as $27.00 a month. And as a new customer you can sometines get promotional prices. Once you go fast access, you will never use dialup again.
